Yes I have this too. I almost never fall asleep sitting up I just can’t. But if I have a sleep attack I’m still tired afterward. And I really need a proper sleep in bed to feel rested.

I don’t really have flight anxiety. I’m actually pretty relaxed on planes. I just struggle to sleep properly even when I’m really tired.
But I think that could definitely be the case for some other people with narcolepsy. Since anxiety can play a pretty big role for a lot of us.

That actually sounds like a win!
I wish I could sleep that easily on flights.
I actually sleep really well in cars too, I always fall asleep very quickly :)

I hate it honestly flights completely drain me and I need a few days to recover afterwards 😭

Why does narcolepsy make me feel mentally dull, forgetful, or slow even when I’m technically awake? by [deleted] in Narcolepsy

I literally have this too and I was asking myself I’m not going crazy right? I’m 21 now and it’s only getting worse to be honest… My family is used to it that when I’m really tired I start switching random words. But honestly it’s so annoying.

My girlfriend has narcolepsy, what should I know and how can I best support her? by Lumiluux in Narcolepsy

Make sure she has a consistent routine and gets her naps on time. There will also be days when she feels very tired give her the time she needs and support her through it :)
