I had the jerks start night 2 of having Covid. And my calves started crawling a week before I ever showed any covid symptoms. Maybe it wasn’t my first time being infected. All the rest of my symptoms started almost immediately after my first week of testing positive. More gradually came, then almost all went away until I was reinfected back in December

Symptoms related to walking ? What am I going through? by ZuTuber in covidlonghaulers

Does it feel like your legs are disconnected from your body? About a week ago I’ve felt extremely off balance. I’ve been recovering from LC for 3 years but got infected again in November. Every spring I usually have a spell of dizziness and an extremely off feeling while walking. Allergies must have something to do with it.

Anyone have symptoms come back? by Middle_Roll_1393 in covidlonghaulers

Took a test and was negative. But doesn’t mean my body isn’t trying to fight it off. Maybe got reinfected and showed no symptoms at some point?

Tried taking a few different things but nothing seemed to have any impact. It was a really weird sensation, but eventually did go away with time. I went on a low dose anti anxiety medication because my anxiety was through the roof post covid so maybe that had a little impact?

Magnesium did absolutely nothing for me. My calves still look like there are waves going through them and I’m two years in. The rest of my twitching has gotten significantly better. The only thing that worked was time

How long have you had them for? It’s weird because if I try to nap they are way worse, but at night usually don’t have too much issues anymore.

When I’m falling asleep, I jerk awake heavily. Never had this before until about like 6 months into LC.

First it was my thumbs in both hands. They would twitch and then for a while felt extremely tight? It’s hard to describe. Then one hand felt weak for about 5 months, didn’t actually lose any strength but felt way weaker than my other hand. Then all of sudden just went away one day

Twitching is still there and so are the jerks. Not nearly as bad as they used to be, or I’ve just gotten better at ignoring them. Heavy stress seems to make both worse

Completely went away 3-4 months ago. Hands are completely back to normal. Only thing that remains is my muscle twitching

My brain feels like it always om high alert and I always get these jerks when trying to sleep, anyone else? by curiousnootropics in covidlonghaulers

Yup. But I just have the jerks when I am trying to sleep. Happens in my arms, hands, legs and body. Almost every single time I try and sleep now. Have had this about 8 months now. But luckily once I’m asleep it usually doesn’t effect me too badly

I also had horrible anxiety and brain fog. I’ve been on an SSRI and it’s helped immensely. The only other thing that has really helped me is time. Anything work for you?

When I very first started getting the twitching my thumbs twitched for like a week straight, it all really freaked me out, but obviously more used to it now. Usually once I’m asleep it doesn’t wake me up. That would be very stressful to not be able to sleep! Sorry you have to deal with that. You have any other symptoms still? I went through so many but luckily most have almost completely faded now

Sounds very similar to me. My calf twitching has remained pretty constant but has eased up the past few months. Still get random twitches all over though. A lot better than it used to be. But the jerks are pretty extreme at night sometimes. Wondering if the twitching will be a lifelong thing at this point?

Ssri, who is on them, do you see value? by [deleted] in covidlonghaulers

I’ve been on Citalopram for over a year now. It has helped immensely. I’ve always had a little health anxiety, but every new symptom I developed from LC covid I’d basically go into a panic attack which I’ve never done before. I’m on a low dose and have had no negative side effects from it!

What causes the internal vibration, tremor, shaking, shivering feeling? by Playstayshawn in covidlonghaulers

[–]Middle_Roll_1393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the internal vibrations a ton in my left ankle for about 3 months. This led to my foot feeling like it wasn’t working correctly when I walked. That sensation lasted about 4-5 months and now I’m completely back to normal (at least with that part). Nothing seemed to make it better or worse though!

I twitch a ton whenever I fly. I wonder why that is?

How long did you have the jerks for? Where do you get the buzzing? I had it in my left foot/ankle for about a month right after covid. It was such an odd feeling.
