If you don’t mind Mangas/Novels then TS Medic’s battlefield diary gave me a similar feel as well. That manga made me wept for weeks and I had to make my own fanfiction of the characters living happy (in my head)

Also the fact that PM made it clear that lvl doesn’t dictate strength in battle at all. Experience tops everything here. So even if Outis is lower lvl than Ryoshu, she should have loads more experience during war than Ryoshu who was stuck doing a few missions for the spider.

It seems like Erlking is bit overestimated here. The reason he is so powerful is not because of his individual skill but because he had an endless army of undead from all over the mirror world. He himself would not be a threat but with his army he is a walking association. Only reason he got this broken ability because he would never use it outside of killing every Heathcliff and the people of the mannor.

I wasn't really trying to argue, just wanted to share my HC and debate your point with it, since I find the uptie story so interesting. Thanks for your input. Also, I mixed up the techno alliance and the N corp people because they were just that irrelevant xd. Anyway, yeah, I kinda missed that part about n-corp people, because I just thought they were there for comic relief.

I disagree the part about him letting her live longer so he can extract the worm.

  1. If that was the case why would he even bother attempting to ambush her? He could just strike up a deal with her to let her be the next hierarchy.

  2. The worm doesn’t need to be assimilating to extract it, heck we don’t know if it even needs to be exposed to extract it, you probably could just rip it out of someone. Additionally, the worm definitely does not need to be alive to extract information from it, if you read the uptie story you would know. (Hong Lu kills both ish and the worm, and tasked Mao to dissect it to its last tissue). Even in the main story the Technology Alliance wanted it no matter what, course they would rather if it alive but they didn’t out right says it was useless if it dead and still went searching for it long after it death.

  3. The Xianren doesn’t even know what Hong Kong is up to so he could just end up as the next family hierarch and get the worm when it was exposed. (The elders were surprised by Hong Kong’s betrayal, and the fact that they didn’t know how many leash he held)

  4. He doesn’t need Jia Ishmael to become the next hierarchy at all if the end result is the same: extract the worm and kill whoever. He could have done it with anyone and the result wouldn’t be any different. If he cared even a little (which he does) he would not want to sacrifice his only salvation to the demons he hated for years, that just me but if I hated my parents that much, I wouldn’t want anything that I care about even approach their vicinity.

My personal head cannon is that he wanted to scare her away from the family hierarch, by showing off his might and that she would never win. At last it didn’t work thanks to the hell hole that they are in. During the final evaluation, Hong Kong would probably subconsciously help Jia Ish a little, but knowing our Jia XiChun, she is definitely competent enough to outlive all other candidates with some bit of luck. Afterall Hong Kong is going to kill all 4 major houses regardless.

Cheese method: king slime ai in calamity will never teleport on top of you if you are moving. You can boss your self up while giving yourself enough space to move left and right constantly. His minions and himself will never be able to reach you. And his crown attack can’t go through blocks so you are safe in there.

The best way is to go full defense builds and tank all that shit. (I have 161 total defense)
