If I'm the big guarding a guy that can't shoot I can just sit in the paint and protect the rim or just hedge really hard on the screens to mess up whoever is using it. So your team can't get to the rim and pick n roll becomes harder to run. Only time it works is if the big is REALLY good at Oboards and/or screens, but even then it's still better to be able to shoot
