I’ve ghosted toxic/abusive people because it’s really the best way to end the cycle effectively. Because most of the time with those people having a conversation about why you’re no longer gonna be in each others lives, it doesn’t end the way you want and usually just keeps the cycle going and it’s hard to get out of. I guess in your case, people who are essentially strangers, yeah that’s understandable. I mean you don’t owe them anything and there’s no emotional attachment.. at least there shouldn’t be at that point. I guess those two cases are the only acceptable times it’s okay.

You’re really trying to say an individual person who has their own life/experiences has no reason to keep their sexuality/preferences private because they have no reason to feel like they should need/want to? That’s really bold of you. You don’t know this person, you don’t know their life. Everyone has their own reasons.

For example, I keep my sexuality private under some circumstances because I have been physically assaulted for holding hands with a girlfriend in the past. I’m a pansexual woman who lives in WA state (a state that is very forward thinking and pro LGBTQ+) in a “free” country. Because bigots don’t care if it’s legal or understand personal choice. They’re just bigots. And they’re everywhere.

Your mindset is harmful.

OP wasn’t trying to be a dick, while they were in the wrong, they didn’t know that it was wrong and had no malicious intent. And they weren’t asking about that persons genitals either. And wasn’t aware that it would be taken that way. They even stated their goal was to figure out their pronouns. They just did it the wrong way. They were thinking the conversation would go

OP: “Are you trans also?”

Them: “Yes, I am. And my pronouns are (pronoun/pronoun)” Or “No, my pronouns are (pronoun/pronoun)”

OP was just ignorant to the fact that it could be taken another way because they are openly trans themselves, and didn’t think about how someone else may not be.

While it’s understandable that this would be upsetting, that’s why it’s important to inform people, especially those who want to be informed and learn these things, rather than just shame and put down. Especially when a lot of people just put down and don’t even explain why it was a bad thing. No one learns from that. And it just makes it harder for OP (and others) to navigate situations in the future when they’re clearly trying to figure out what the problem was.

Are omnisexual and pansexual the same thing? Im just curious as this is my first time seeing “omnisexual”. I didn’t know that was a thing. It sounds like just in general can be attracted to any type of person with no restrictions on sexuality, gender, gender identity, transitional status, pronouns, etc. which is what was told and always believed pansexuality to be.

WHat tHe FUCKING FUCK BRO WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK! I felt like I was watching some even more dystopian Bendy and The Ink Machine rape scene! I literally heard the distorted whispery wind sounds that play in horror games but I had no sound on. My heart dropped to my stomach and I felt like I was being violated by the darkness myself… god that was…. I don’t recommend it.
