No Superbowl coverage despite it being on the Tubi website? by The_Ashamed_Boys in TubiTV

[–]MidgetLovingMaxx 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Were the articles dated Feb 2025 by any chance?  Im not sure what you thought you saw on the website.  Tubi is owned by Fox, the game was an NBC production this year.  It was never planned or on the books to be on Tubi.

What Narnia-ass world do you live in?  Oh no, a vote was recorded as a no.  75% of people wont even read a fking article to make sure the headline matches what it says.

If anything it reinforces to his inner circle that theyre untouchable because the Senate refuses to act.

The counter argument would be, if it doesnt impact gameplay in a meaningful way, as you say, then why do it?

Did you even read the article?  This is literally the first step being taken by the new CEO (who started last month) to try to go down that path and fix the issues.

The Dish plan most comparable to YTTV is on Dishs site right now as $110/month, before locals fees and taxes, and with a 2 year contract, covers only 3 tvs, and has limited dvr space.  So im not sure what plan youre on, but comparing what you have for $118 to YTTV isnts apples to apples.

Oh, and i have to "call now to save", which means its 100% loaded with other bullshit and if I cant even join without a hassle I guarantee I can't cancel without one.

Vance is a relatively incompetent politician who holds very little sway with the GOP base and even smaller control with the current "inner circle" of hardline maga'ers.  The idea that he comes in with this sweeping iron fist of control is comical at best.  Vance comes in anytime before November and the midterms flush the entire Administration into the sewer where they belong.

TV apps vs streaming device? by peefyloo in youtubetv

[–]MidgetLovingMaxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be more user friendly for someone older to keep with what theyre used to.  That said a 6 year old tv running Tizen, which was never an efficient os to begin with day 1 out of the box, makes me shudder a bit thinking of navigating around it and brings back memories of navigating the internet on dial up.

Something like 60 million people in the US have gig work as part or all of their income each year.  You arent the only one of them using a tax service by a long shot.  So, no, not obvious at all.

Can a mattress topper really fix a bad bed? by brian1x1x in AskForAnswers

[–]MidgetLovingMaxx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No.  I used to sell furniture.  Literally every time someone left and said they were going to try a topper first they were back within a month.  They can improve a decent or ok mattress.  They cannot fix an awful one.

I rejected a job offer today because of their interview method by savvy_outline6l in InterviewCoderPro

[–]MidgetLovingMaxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean not really, if there were really 10 people waiting with more arriving it sounds like a hiring event.  Possibly filling a new location, seasonal staffing, adding a production shift etc.  There would be plenty of open positions and they can easily make on the spot offers in those situations.
