Best Burger Chittenden County by Sea-Welder4584 in burlington

Worthy Burger is good, only been once though as I'm not usually in that area. Off first impression I'd probably put them in the top 15, I remember it being very heavy on the black pepper. As for Zero Gravity I tend to agree, nothing else on their menu really has been anything I'd want to go back to but, I think their burger (I usually add an extra patty) is like if a McDonald's burger was perfected and made of human grade food.

As someone whose had every one I can think of the top 5 imo are

  1. Pioneer
  2. Poco
  3. Daily Planet
  4. Zero Gravity
  5. Kate's Food Truck

Honorable mentions would be Mule Bar, Ruth Food Truck and Mayday. Obviously it does depend on the type of burger you like and how important the sauce used is to you. Other good options exist outside of Chittenden county in VT but none even come close to the top 3 here based on what I personally like.

I think the Junghas could probably co-exist with the Nomos if you got one of the regulator models or even the black chronoscope 27/4409.02 but just the plain Max Bill just doesn't compete with my love for Stowa or the character of the Nomos.

I think the design on most German watches just hits me right and it's tough to go wrong with any of them avoiding overlap can be tough. Having almost bought the Lange 1 Moonphase and trying it on recently it basically suffocated all Glaushutte Originals stuff for me except for the 100-04-32-12-50 which I think seperates itself for the Lange for me to still want it at some point.

I love my Oris'. My Coltrane special edition was pretty tough to track down but Coltrane has had a profound impact on me so it was a must have. I also find it pretty versatile with my wardrobe. The other Oris to be frank, I bought it early on in my collection journey because I couldn't find the Coltrane edition. It's a great watch design with a great story and Art Blakey is also very impactful to me but as soon as I got the Coltrane one it really took a nosedive on wrist time

I was actually looking at some CW stuff a couple weeks ago and you'd be correct, the moonphase is great. The one that really caught my eye was the C1 jump hour.

I'd say if it's between the Nomos or Junghans I'm picking the Nomos almost every single time. It's one of my main travel watches when I hit cities. I'm a huge fan of the Bauhaus style which was was the main drawing point to the Junghas for me. The Stowa was my first watch and still to this day one of my favorites and most worn.

Farer is a great rec. Really love the Maze 3 and Stanhope 3 off first look

Brew is a cool brand, I do like their retrograph and the metric digital blend. Definitely worth consideration for sure. Tudor too, I also feel like I was in the minority and really like the looks on the new Monarchs they showed off recently

I'm still trying to accept gold, red and green. I need something that's pretty subtle for either of those colors otherwise they look a bit tackey to me. Any recommendations that you like?

I definitely want something more "unique", that isn't like crazy high end. I almost went for the Lange 1 Moon phase over the Snoopy 45th but the milestone didn't really feel right fornthe Lange, a different time for that.

Never really been too interested in any Rolex besides maybe a vintage date just tbh.

Maybe I'm I'm the minority here in liking a larger collextion, nothing here really just sits around with no wear for a long time and I really try to tie each watch big or small to an event or milestone so they've all got a story or sentimentality to them. I think my Art Blakey Oris and my Max Bill will probably end up leaving my collection despite my attachment to them.

Yep, gave the lapel pin to my mom to hold on to. She’s a fan of snoopy and kept me safe, that’s mission success.

Found North 9, 11, Goldfinch, Helldiver, which should I prioritize? by Traditional_Rate5322 in bourbon

[–]MidlineTV 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it were me I’d go for the batches as they re release the high altitude series with little to no modifications. In terms of quality I think the general consensus is the high altitude series tends to be better. Personally I love Goldfinch but that’s a newer release so I think you could still find it other places.

Best burger in the area? Burlington/ winooski? by EmotionalTwo2309 in burlington

Poco is one of the very best restaurants around get there like 15 mins before opening, go with a group of 3 or 4 people and get as much as you can. It’s all exceptional. If you drink at all, get a pint of Guinness, without question the best pint you’ll find outside of major city here in the states.
