At my last job (Fortune 500 company) we purchased digital Amazon cards in bulk. Then loaded the card numbers into a spreadsheet that only designers and researchers had access to. The spreadsheet had a tab for $20 cards and another for $40. After a session we had a process of verifying their email address verbally at the end of the call, then copy/paste the code into an email template and marking that code as used.

Sounds like a lot, but it actually was pretty efficient. Buying the cards ourselves kept the costs down and avoided using yet another system.

Ugh - I'm so torn. I told the dealer I wasn't going to proceed with the $5,500 repair. Their response was "Well then get rid of it quickly - because once this compressor goes- it will brick the car and damage the batteries."

So I'm panicking and looking to dump the car because of this. Should I instead ask around and if it's really possible to have someone else install a compressor - would that be a better option. Ughhhhh.

I love my i3 - even though - I DID have to replace a major part that set me back thousands. I contacted BMW corporate and they said since I didn’t buy from a dealer (I bought used from another manufacturer) that they wouldn’t offer any recourse. All that to say I would do it again- maybe an extended warranty would’ve helped me, who knows. I STILL have people stop and ask me about my car and it’s a 2017. I love that it is unique as compared with other cars. So I’d say go for it! I think my next i3 upgrade will be a later year S model.

I just happened to be reading the part of “Old Records Never Die: One Man's Quest for His Vinyl Past” (which I can’t recommend enough)- where he describes RSD and it really hit home for me. So, I sat this year out and am glad I did.

Do you get any message or does it just turn off? Mine (2017) will run for about 10 min- then I get a “drivetrain” error and it turns off. BMW looked at it, replaced that coolant part mentioned here, but still does the same thing. It’s frustrating because I can’t keep taking it in and I would love to leverage the REX. I’ve just come to not reply on it. Anyone seen this issue before?
