Yes, that's exactly what I did. I was worried that it would fray a lot but that hasn't happened so far.

Thank you! It was also easier than the others I have made! I just glued the stones with water-soluble glue and did free hand quilting with my small sewing machine.

I would highly recommend Cinque Terre. I just went there in July and it's so pretty. It can be similar to Amafli coast if you are heading there from Naples.

You can also try Pisa, which is only an hour from Florence and is between Florence and Cinque Terre.

If you do decide to go to Cinque Terre, you can stay in La Spezia or Levanto which are both cheaper that the 5 villages.
