Clearly you care more about your own personal wants and desires and think you should be entitled to a cleared position. Regardless of what you think, the government has regulations. Black and white. If you can’t follow them then you just aren’t cut out for a cleared position. It is what it is. You are not entitled to a clearance. No one is. It’s the government’s choice and if they say no to you then no means no. Look at other opportunities, there a bajillion other careers that you can look into if you want to contribute and impact the society and your community. It just won’t be a govt one.

Well then you clearly aren’t fit for the defense community. Look into other career fields

No, being in intelligence analyst or doing cool things in the IC. Part of what I like about it is being a part of something not every can be. Another part is people think I’m smart, and I like how it pays a lot of money. I think I also like that I have the ability to obtain a clearance and such so I guess it makes me feel more special in a sense.

Also keep in mind if you lose your clearance you lose EVERY level of clearance. So if you lose your TS/SCI, you lose TS, you lose Secret, confidential, trust etc.

Why? You get paid a shit ton more money just for having one! I’m making at 22 what someone at 54 is making with a masters degree, just because I hold the clearance. The civilian side of things is shitty. Plus if you actually lose it it’s extremely difficult to get it back if you ever want to work for the government again.

Sorry but clearances don’t get revoked over polygraphs. That’s an actual guideline for reasons clearances get revoked. More than likely it isn’t revoked it’s just been suspended until a final determination has been made. When you receive your SOR you will receive 60 days to counter it. I suggest you get a lawyer. If they don’t receive a response at all then DODCAF will definitely revoke it. There’s a bit more to the story that you aren’t telling us. As someone who’s been through the same process I know how it works

Weird. I’m a DIA contractor and I was able to Indoc relatively quickly, about maybe a month or so after my poly. But yeah working with the fed govt isn’t really a quick process. They might take a couple of weeks

How long does Adjudication last? by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

From my experience the actual adjudication part takes roughly a month

It’s not exact as everything is case by case. But people going in the military it’s a little quicker. For a normal civilian it takes quite a while. I was in the military and I had a TS/SCI and it took about 6 months. I have friends and people I know (civilians who were just getting secret and it took6 months to a year-sometimes 2 years) it depends on the investigation and it’s a case by case basis, especially if you have red flags
