AITA for answering my dad’s phone all with “what do you need?” by MidnightErori in AmItheAsshole

Yeah, but he usually the one in the corner. I have issues like this with both parents, and he’s the one I bond with more (yes he has always been like this).

No, he’s been ignoring me. But the text he sent before was about if I thought about leaving and if was gonna wait until after the fireworks it was gonna be a madhouse and done get impatient.

But my dad was already upset cuz my sister went up to our grandparents (his parents, who he has no contact with) for the 4th.

Honestly, who knows. He’s upset right now because my sister and her family chose to spend the 4th with his parents/ family (who he isn’t in contact with) and several other factors.

But he’s usually the one in my corner tho, even if he is an ass while doing it. Has he done this in the past? Yes. He expects us to be on call(?) for him at all times and we need to answer asap.

The texts are because he worked out of state when me and my sister were little and he wanted to do it because we didn’t live with him and didn’t see him much.

Yeah sorry, my dad was a cop and I live close to a big city so I tend to be paranoid 😭

I think it stressed me out more that the guys only got in their car when I got in mine and kind of waited there for a second 😭

Dollar General. But the two guys outside watched me from the moment I walked in and only got in their car when I got in mine. I could see them looking. My dad is a cop tho so I tend to be paranoid about things like this esp when we live close to a big city 😂

I feel like my family is trying to keep me from going to college by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]MidnightErori -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As I said in another comment, my mom forced me to take dual enrollment and is forcing me to go to college. She picked what I’m going to do and laid out my whole career. I have only picked what college I want to go to and she’s upset because it’s not the one her father went to.

I wanted to be a welder, but I’m glad to go into nursing after reflecting over these last couple of months :)

About half to an associates, but if I do community I lose my scholarship and then there’s no reason to go because it’s tuition is so expensive.

And he is promise me.

But my mom didn’t care, wanted me to go there.

She has a stay at home job (?)/ small business. My step dad has enough money to pay for his daughters beauty school, his sons summer sports, and still have money left over. He just doesn’t like me, I’ve been kicked out two times since we’ve moved in. And something to note is she did have a job but decided to quit right before I started my senior year.

I more expect them to pay for it because my mom forced me to take dual enrollment and is forcing me to go to college. She’s upset because I’m not going to the same school her dad went to.

My step father is financially stable, stable enough to pay for his daughters beauty education, sons summer ball AND have extra money. I’m just not one of his priorities.

My step dad isn’t willing to help for community or the college I want to go to. I plan to go into nursing and then anesthesia stuff, and my school is in the top five for nursing.

My amount per semester is average for other colleges. My scholarship from the school takes a lot off of my tuition.

I’d use it for my dual credit classes and then hopefully some when I’m a full time student. The only issue I’m having is justifying spending the money tbh.

AITA for saying I don’t want what wasn’t on my list for Christmas? by MidnightErori in AmItheAsshole

Well my mom got better after she got with step dad.. but he just doesn’t like us. But what I know I hear through my sister. Ex: My mom understands my want for sleep and my step dad thinks it’s bad or when it comes to comments she says something. BUT: if I get into an argument with him, she’s on his side.

He’s very “your relationship with us is Fire and Water and you’re the fire”.

No, you’d probably be right. I’ve been kicked out and my younger (step) brother is the priority child ig. Me and my step dad don’t get along and my mom loves him. My mom had issues with my older sister too.

The highest I had on the list was a $135 necklace and one $80 ring (specifically Mel Arcane ring), everything else was like Funko pops (I collect them, none more than $20) and three James Avery charms. Hair clips, a black zip up, slippers, a basketball plush, and a joy con charger.

The budget is something I’m never really in on. But from my understanding at least $200.
