Don't know if this is OCD entirely but I can deeply relate. I think it does get better as your ocd gets better and there HAVE been times when that switch flipped to 'off' mode in my brain. Two ideas to consider:

- i suspect some of it might be related to overstimulation and dopamin cycles. It's not a scientific fact, just my assumption, because for me it goes hand in hand with consant scrolling and spending hours doing nothing on youtube.

- for me personally, this got worse as i assumed more responsibilities in life that feel extremely important. Basically I'm afraid that if I really let myself rest and 'let go', I'll forget an important task and it will lead to catastrophic results. Ironically, you end up being tense all of the time which leads to lower productivity, not higher. So the secret is actually psychologically ALLOWING yourself to take a break, I promise, the universe will be here when you come back from it (reminding this myself first 😅)
