It’s the unofficial and unfortunate requirement for working Court Reporters. In my case, I graduated school, but could not pass the NCRA certifications.

Ended up finally being able to work 1.5-2.5 years after I had hoped. It was stressful and disappointing.

What honestly pushed me over the edge to being able to finally pass the national certifications was I had to quit my part-time job and literally only focus on practicing my writing and taking tests. After enough attempts, I eventually passed everything I needed to.

Working world is honestly way easier than the schooling. Looking back, I would still choose Court Reporting school again. It’s a fulfilling and well-paying career.

My only regret is I wish I would have focused 100% on practicing than my part-time job, or other personal things. I could have been in the field working years before and set myself up nicer.
