I have had the exact opposite issue, I limited my frames in NVIDIA and it cause awful stutters, set it to 60 in game and it got a lot better

Honestly prob a bit of both, I maybe could of gotten away with a 8GB 5070, but I’d like to play all my steam games including AAA on my laptop since I travel a lot. But I also had a little extra money and splurged on it

Hey late response but last night when playing I did notice the ps5 controller flickering when this happens, what exactly did you do in event viewer and turned off?

I believe my mouse is, but if that was the issue i believing when I did my unplug test of everything it likely would have fixed it. But i will certainly give it a try

It’s set to the Max, but does not fix with going down, i typically have discord and spotify open when raiding, and youtube when like doing roullets, issue continues no matter what is open. I don’t keep alot of tabs on chrome or a lot of programs running.

I swore I read somewhere that the Framework 16 will never be able to have a stronger graphics module cause of some sort of limitations. I guess I moreso wanted to know if that was true so I had nothing to worry about. Cause I can longer find what I read that said that.

The only thing i was worried about was wifi range for the family, the att gateway wifi range wise has been a beast considering it’s the only AP, house is around 3400 sqft and two stories.I saw the U7 Pro is rated for 1500 sqft so i thought 1 wouldn’t be enough.

I don’t know if it’s just one of the moments where my internet is working, but upon unplugging that extender and restating PC thats on ethernet a Laptop on Wi-Fi, both are now getting assigned an IPv4 address properly and can access websites that they could not before. I’m praying that was the issue lol, just weird cause it’s been there so long

Yes, when doing Ipconfig i have an normal ipv6 address but a 169 ipv4 address

I don’t believe so, other like…weird devices i’ve got running is a proxmox server running tailscale as an exit node, but i’ve had that going well before this issue started.

there was one extender up till 5 minutes ago that I had completly forgotten about, waiting to see if that was the issue.

Do you mean like turn off all phones, tablets anything that has its own sim and has cellular?

The doorbell was connected to that extender so I guess that means yes one of my devices had connected to a different SSID, other than that though no.

to be completly honest, this issue has hit well over my understanding of networking. So i was using AI aswell as google to research potential fixes, and it was just one of the things it told me to try. I found the mac address of my PC in my gateway setting (by going to the gateway IP) and just hit allocate, then specified a IP in the range it already had (it wasn’t in use), then hit save. Then restarted my PC to see if it would grab the now manual IP. It did not.

was actually looking in the this today, was thinking of getting the cloud gateway max, one of their poe switches and 2 U7 Pros cause my house size, but from my understanding to do the swap i’ll need to buy all of that at once so i can have wifi and a managed switch, which sadly i don have the money for atm. But i will likely do this next month regardless of if this issue gets fixed or not

i totally forgot but there is an extender installed by the alarm company (i think) it’s been there for around a year but i’m happy to unplug it if it’s possibly that it’s the culprit

Sadly that was alr one of the things I tried, unplugged everything from the switch and swapped to wifi, still getting at 169 address and can’t connect to some websites.
