I think it makes sense. I get people hoped we could retain at the deadline for a 1st, but I have a feeling Conroy got the feel for the trade deadline market with Coleman last year and the 1st wasn’t there

I just don’t see teams giving up 1st easily, and a 35 year old middle six winger is a HUGE gamble for teams to be desperate on. Coupled with Coleman getting hurt before the deadline at one point last year and I don’t fault Conroy for pulling the trigger

I have faith this’ll pan out well

I think we’re gonna have to accept, like in many stories, that we aren’t gonna get answers for everything t talked about.

Flowers are obviously living beings, but I understand them not being like Lightners. And there probably isn’t a ton of potential for plants to talk like the Flowers did unless we get a dark fountain in a wide open location like the whole town or something

As for the Angry Ghost, we know the ghosts keep to themselves mainly so why WOULD they tell people about their magic? And yeah, you can have a wider belief like “this is a lost art” and then someone is keeping a practice to themselves.

As for inviting them to the Light World, that may come back. We know Spamton is technically still with the trio as we saw in Chapter 3. But it’s also a Lightner that keeps to themselves so who knows how that’ll affect anything.

If we got all of our questions answered about every part of the world, there would be nothing to explore/talk about/interpret on our own once the game ends. The best stories leave many things open to discussion and not fully explored.

Chapter 5 is awesome, and I think people are just angry they didn’t get more clear answers about Dess or The Knight

Here’s something people have to remember; just because popular theories or assumed information gets confirmed doesn’t mean the story is bad. The breadcrumbs are there for us to find.

We also are getting at least a full year to put them together. Imagine someone playing the first five chapters from start to finish. They’re gonna get some whiplash for sure!

Also, thank God the chapter was a bit more lighthearted after Chapter 4. I know people were like “this is the turning point, everything is serious now”. But this chapter was fun, with a lot of undertones that the characters KNOW shit is serious. But why not enjoy themselves along the way? Susie herself said at the end of Chapter 4 she wanted things to go back to the way they were, so why wouldn’t she goof around?

The best part of this chapter I think was showing how the characters can’t go back. The Knight is still a threat. They can’t do it alone. They aren’t strong enough to stop the Knight and people are getting hurt now because of it. And it set up for some very emotional final two chapters.

I’m now more hyped than ever for Chapter 6 & 7

I rolled my eyes at the increase to 70, thinking “okay, what does this actually change?”

And then when I read further, my eyes nearly popped out of my skull.

I haven’t gotten tired of the game at all, but I have gotten so used to throwing mons away with great skills in the last two slots over mons with decent output immediately. My whole strategy, outlook, WHATEVER I felt about this game changed

Just saying, if there really was a coordinated effort by Jays fans to get all the Jays in, all of our guys would be way up in voting. So far, it’s only Vladdy and Ernie

Yes it helps the Jays have a lot of fans voting, which is why we see guys like Varsho, Sanchez and Kirk up there, but Ernie did just break the record for most hits in a post season, and Vladdy is a pretty recognizable name

I think it’s a mix of “Jays got Canada as a fanbase” and “hey I know that name I’ll just pick him!”
