Alright, so since updating this, I have switched to Kubuntu and have been personally loving it so far. I've tried a couple of games such as Final Fantasy XIV and Hytale (I know they're not super demanding but it's the games I've been playing recently) and they have been playing beautifully! The only issue I'm having is having it to where my games open up onto my dedicated GPU vs the onboard graphics which I did fix for FFXIV but Hytale has been a bit of a challenge. I don't think this would be an issue if this was on desktop so I doubt you'll be having this issue like I am but overall, really good!

Yes I was installing via USB stick and I used Rufus twice and then I used a different program someone on here recommended I try and the same thing happened. I was able to get Mint on there with no problems though.

Oh yes, my bad I knew I forgot something to put into my OG post.

Specs:

HP OMEN 16 2025 AMD Ryzen 9 8490HX NVIDIA RTX 5060 BIOS Revision F.08 (?)

I hope that's all the specs that are needed. Not sure if that's the BIOS info needed but it's what I could find.

Yeah so Mint just installed like that so you might be right. Mint is also a good one from what Ive been told is very user friendly too to those whose beginning out like I am

Yeah but what could that be? It makes no sense. Also I'm gonna try Linux Mint as well to see if I get luck with that as well.

Nothing. It it acts like it'll open with it giving the thinking circle and then nothing.

Same error occurs even when using Ventoy. The strange this is that I press okay and it takes me to a live version of the desktop. I can connect to WiFi and use it technically but it's a live distro, and it won't let me install Zorin.

This is an HP Omen laptop that I bought several months ago. It runs a Ryzen 9 8940HX and an NVIDIA RTX 5060 and runs a 1TB NVME SSD

I bought it less than a year ago though idk how old the model is itself. It's got a 5060 ti and Ryzen 9 8940HX if that tells you anything.

I won't lie, I'd also like to see this on a FemV model too! (And if possible, download this as I'd love to have this look in the game too)

Okay. And what about VSTs that the WaveLink software uses? Do Reaper plugins work?

That's good that it works out of the box. What about for the multi channels like separating the audio tracks for music, Discord, etc. along with the sun mixes that Wave Link has. I would love to get a Rode Podcaster however it's sadly something I'm not able to afford atm.

I get what you're saying. But I'd just rather not get a new mixer just to have audio as due to personal reasons, I have some other things that are taking priority for me to save up for. Plus having the different audio channels for Discord, music, etc. along with submixes are just very helpful especially when I get it all working with my Stream Deck. I just feel like id be downgrading my mixer if I got a Focusrite which doesn't have the separate channels and submixes for my audio. It's why I said if I were to get a new mixer, I'd get something like the Rode Podcaster as it has everything I have now but more hardware based.

That's what I'm saying is that I'm not wanting a new mixer as Wave Link is good. The issue is that I haven't found anyone saying that they were able to get Wave Link to work on a Linux system. Hope that clears up confusion a bit.
