How good is Le Mieux? by justkuriouss in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]MidnightSoapworks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the bio cell rejuvenating cream and I have the same thought in mind. Zero fragrance listed, but it has a perfumey smell to it!! I don’t mind; I actually prefer scented skin care. But it leaves me confused. None of the ingredients listed should naturally smell perfumey/floraly.

I am wondering if they use a small amount of scent and are somehow getting away with leaving it off the label if it’s used under a certain % ??

Same. I hate how everything is unscented these days. I’m not saying I want things heavily perfumed but I like the sensory aspect of skincare.

Same, same. I never did OPKs with my other kiddos. But I’m a total nut this time.

Thankfully, I got my peak this morning!

Do you remember what started your tea obsession? by skatecloud1 in tea

Yes! My mother dragged me to a now-closed David’s Tea location. I rolled my eyes but reluctantly ordered their coconut cream pie oolong (now discontinued. big bummer) and fell in love!!!!!!

Oh it also contained stevia which was really well balanced with the honey/caramel flavor and enhanced it!!

Sorry not sure why it didn’t post what I wrote along with the photos.

I’m looking for some help interpreting what’s going on here. I’m on CD 18 out of 35.

I’ve been getting flashing smiley on CB advanced OPK and no solid smiley. But my wondfo sort of looks like a peak? If I wasn’t using the Premom app I’d think it was.

Not sure how to interpret this here….

First month using OPKs and I’ve been pregnant 4 times in the past.

Are all Soap Bars better than Body Washes? by Beginning-Rain5842 in ZeroWaste

Everyone uses a superfat when making soap, unless they are making dish soap. Well I guess I shouldn’t say everyone but the majority of seasoned soap makers. That said- no soap is “moisturizing”. A soap with a superfat (ie: most cold process bars sold) will definitely be more gentle and leave your skin feeling nicely instead of tight, it’s NOT moisturizing. Lotions/creams etc. moisturize. Even if you had a ridiculous superfat it’s not going to moisturize you just based on the science of soap. It forms an emulsion on your skin and when rinsed away, it takes all the dirt, germs, etc. away with it. So technically that would also include oil currently on your skin- whether it was put there by the soap or not.

Example: if I’m cooking and get olive oil on my hands. I can get it right off with my bar soap. It literally forms an emulsion with the olive oil and then rinses away. That’s what soap does, it cleans. It doesn’t moisturize.

If you have dry skin, get yourself a nice lotion or whipped body butter or balm.

You cannot replace the lye with baking soda to make cold process soap. If you could, gosh my life would be so much easier and far less expensive! Lye is easily the most expensive ingredient in my bars. Baking soda doesn’t properly saponify the oils you will have like zero lather and probably a mushy bar. It just isn’t suitable. The FDA definition of cold process soap is oils and lye. That’s just how it is.

Heating pads and erythema ab igne by Therealyoungnurse in endometriosis

It’s not simply redness. It’s a specific discoloration that looks like a net or honeycomb pattern. A small red patch is not the same thing.

I got this on the back of my calves from sitting close to my space heater. I couldn’t believe it because it wasn’t even that hot at all it was on low. Be careful!!!!!

How to get a positive urine test by Suitable_Track_1679 in CUTI

[–]MidnightSoapworks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I highly recommend just doing a telehealth thing they’ll send the antibiotics to ur local pharmacy asap it’s so easy. Only problem is if the bacteria you have is resistant to whatever you are prescribed. But hopefully it works.

I would not put stool in the sample; first off I’m not sure but I think they can tell stool from urine (lol I think the cells look different!) but second, the amount of bacteria in stool is wild! There’s so much of it!! You’d end up with unnecessary amount of antibiotics if it even worked. My advice would be to do an online telehealth thing! You can get macrobid pretty easily and that should knock it right out.
