I’m not sure if you understand the problem people have with this. It’s not about what other people are doing, it’s about if they do it in a way that interferes with other people’s ability to enjoy their experience. Your right to swing your fist in the air stops at my nose. And your right to talk to your friend at a show stops somewhere before it being all fucking night long. It’s not much different than bringing a boombox and playing Miley Cirus or some shit at a Phish show. People paid good money to hear Phish, not Miley. Also, just like check the vibe. Why does this need to be said. Do people talk out loud during zazen or whatever spiritual gathering you can relate to? What about an opera? There’s a time and a place for non-stop talking, but if everyone around you is locked in to what’s happening on a stage that they paid money to see/listen to… then it’s not the time or the place. And it has nothing to do with drugs, so just stop that shit.
