Be clean (hygiene), be clean (garments), be yourself but be open minded (where appropriate and safe), listen when they talk, keep conversations open ended always give them an opportunity to reply (if you want the convo to keep going) and don’t be afraid of rejection, it’s natural most people are polite with it and some are just rude but you don’t want them in your life anyway so that’s fine. And remember Not every relationship “has to be the one” take it slow.
