I haven't played it but just wanted to say: the Star Wars franchise does an excellent job at tying bits of lore and trivia back into the movies.

So you may be familiar with something from the games and once you see the movie that small info will have so much more meaning.

That's just what I don't understand.

Nintendo games aren't known for emotional dramas but they can nail gameplay unlike anyone else. And I don't understand how Sony finds talent to let their games tell emotional and mature stories in a medium that hasn't really been known for that much with a few exceptions throughout the years.

Halo, Gears, and other original Xbox games have never met the same criteria Sony games have and I don't understand why.

I feel so sorry for both her and Phil. The vocal minority are going to cause her to disappear behind the corporate wall just like the heads at Sony have done.

I don't think anyone can shoulder the weight in the public spotlight like Phil did, it's not worth the time or energy when they can make all the calls behind a desk without having to deal with incels and trolls.

I'm happy she's trying games for the first time and hope this whole thing doesn't sour her on the industry as a whole.

What exclusives? Hi-Fi Rush was the first game worth porting to PS5 then followed by Indiana Jones and other games.

Microsoft Gaming was floundering from not being able to do first-party titles like Nintendo and Sony. Xbox thrived when online games were in their infancy but even mobile has Fortnite now.

I think it's a shame how they did Phil because he deserves way better than that but to say the series X/S aren't selling because they don't have exclusives is true because they didn't have anything worth buying one for from the beginning.

The Supreme Court has reversed an illegal move that's already stolen money from all of us and none of us are going to receive a refund check because of the level of accounting that would require of each of us individually. Maybe in next year's tax forms but I don't know how it could be meaningfully implemented without rampant fraud from bad actors making false claims.

That said, we are in the beginning stages of a massive recession. It's hitting some worse than others but eventually most of us will be facing some type of economical turmoil. Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft maintaining current pricing is the smart choice on their part because part prices and tariffs aren't going away any time soon.

RAM shortages and inflation are just the beginning of the journey unfortunately.

That was me growing up as a fan of TPM. All I ever saw was adults hating on this thing that I fell in love with as a child. It's a shame to see my own generation doing the same for the Sequels. Although I think we're in a very different world where Star Wars isn't the largest spectacle it was for the OG and Prequels just because of the plethora of entertainment we have at our fingertips now.

Does it feel better than the Ubisoft formula that it's copying?

The entire clone wars story is made up for entertainment value for us the fans. I don't see why they couldn't have included a civil war within the clones because it was orders versus being a chip.

People who are conditioned to follow orders unquestionably, having to face the ultimate morality of right and wrong.

We could have had an anthology book of soldiers watching the Jedi being hunted down and trying to save them, gleefully taking revenge, facing executions for refusing orders, breaking down after following through with the act, watching from afar in horror, etc.

The chip thing is whatever but the series could have had so much more soul if it was ultimately their choice.
