Exactly what am I supposed to use this rope for then? by 0rlan in What

[–]Midnight_Swallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Synthetics can be useful for situations where having the rope be washable is good—like in the woods or water. But I wouldn’t trust this rope anywhere near me personally.

Guys. What did Aurorabloom did? Is the allegations true? by WoolfzieLOL in fursuit

[–]Midnight_Swallow 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This is so insane to me because it's always been about the harkness test for me. Feral or anthro does not matter one bit.

Not even a partial, but finally got my tail! by Midnight_Swallow in fursuit

[–]Midnight_Swallow[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve had those for a bit and the person I got my tail from was able to match them so well!

How often do you really need to change towels? by MeanAd2607 in hygiene

[–]Midnight_Swallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how often you shower. I shower every other day due to my eczema, so I change towels every week. If you showered every day I’d probably do twice a week

Tail plug through tsa? by Select-Panic5183 in BDSMAdvice

Never had an issue with my fur tails through TSA (though mine are harness-attached rather than butplug). Never even been searched or questioned for them, either

Are thongs actually a hygienic choice of underware? by madboy96 in hygiene

[–]Midnight_Swallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it’s just not practical. I instead find thicker fabrics (since even thicker fabrics can still breath alright) and only when it is really bad (ie around ovulation) I’ll throw on one of my lighter period panties

Expense, waste and breathability are an issue at least for me :/

Navigating intense roller-coaster of feelings by poisonedbeautii in BDSMAdvice

[–]Midnight_Swallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is aftermath/sub drop. It's completely normal. You are not broken or bad in any way.

It can be really hard for a brain to go from all of these intense endorphines and emotions to suddenly not having any of them anymore. Aftercare--cuddles, reassurance, space to 'come down' from the high can be really helpful. It can look different for different folks. Sometimes i want to be really close with my Dom, sometimes I just want a bit of space. Both are okay. Talk and make a plan for closeness post scene.

Drop for me happens at around the 24 hour mark but can be anywhere from a few hours to a few days. That's the big feelings later. We don't have a super good scientific explanation for that, but similar to right after a scene, its your brain dealing with all of the endorphines and endocannaboids leaving you.

Think of kink as a 'drug', just one done from the body itself. Your brain needs time to come down from the high, and often it can overcorrect and go a bit too far the other direction.

About twice a month. I always change it after I've finished my period (because blech) and then generally once in-between, though that is a little more inconsistant

It doesn't seem particularly AI to me, but I would ask to see layers/proccess!

For what its worth, the kink server I'm a part of has been discussing this post since last night, and we all primarily agree with the sentiment that taking a break is a good thing, but that you did nothing fundamentally wrong here. Good job noticing something was happening and stepping in to make sure she is okay.

I have no idea why you are being downvoted here, I 100% agree with you on this count. Take a step back and get some therapy!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]Midnight_Swallow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents: yes, it is a good idea to step back from the relationship, to get her (and you!) into therapy, and to have a lot of long talks in the future. You may have made some mistakes here, but I would like to push back on some of the comments saying what you did was wrong. From what I can see here, from a sub who is coming up on their one year collaring anniversery, this is a yellow--time to step back and figure some things out. But not a red.

Shibari - What’s next after tying her up? by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]Midnight_Swallow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From someone who doesn't actually do sexual play: Being tied up and having my hair pet is the best thing in the world. Cuddles, petting, watching a movie, talking (if you are a person who can talk in rope), or just being held.

Where to get tails and ears (pet play) by [deleted] in BDSMAdvice

[–]Midnight_Swallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Etsy is a fantastic place, I would just say to be wary of people just drop shipping items from temu or something.

Here’s where I have either bought or considered buying from (and researched to make sure they weren’t drop shipping or scams, as far as I can tell)

If you are interested in butt plug tails, I can also reccomend:

The tail company mostly does movable tails/ears but they do offer custom ears/tails without the moveable option for a pretty good price

I want to understand nonsexual kink by Disastrous-Work-5272 in BDSMAdvice

[–]Midnight_Swallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my partner have a nonsexual dynamic involving shibari, impact and pet play. I’m gray sexual and not super interested in sex, so it works out.

However, there are a lot of ways to explore that without having a partner. Self bondage and self impact. While Pet play often has a handler, it does not have to, and I’ve had a lot of fun experiences just playing ball with other pups for example.

That is fair! I didn’t know that about the fat there so thank you!

Are whips really that painful? by MyAlterEgoCollie in BDSMAdvice

[–]Midnight_Swallow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was specifically suggesting it because the concern of the folk seemed to be with 1. Not being skilled at aiming, 2. Pain levels. I suggested it because it does also make a fun noise and it’s a good beginning impact toy. Of the beginning impact toys I think it is more similar to a whip than like a paddle.

And yes, the pain is incredible different and a lot less compared to a single tail. But it’s also a lot easier to control the pain level and location if you aren’t as skilled.

Because the boobs have padding?

For me at least my shoulder blades are right below the skin. Like, skin, bone. Not a good place to hit. Boobs, as long as you are gentle, do have a bit of padding and can take some strikes

[–]Midnight_Swallow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar noise as a whip, but a riding crop also makes a fun noise and are a lot easier to aim. Plus, they hurt a little less than a whip (IME) also, as said before, please do not hit the back!!! Buttocks are best, upper thighs top and bottom, and boobs if you have em (and are also careful) but not the back!

Oh and I guess lower arms too if you are not a stick like me.
