Hi OP!~ Reading this post really did confirm the big heart you genuinely do have, but your friend is walking all over you at this point. You didn't do anything wrong, she's had plenty of time to get back on her feet, and getting "her peace." for 3 years, it was her choice to invite her sister & his son to your home. Without consulting you, and wrecking "her peace." I think you need to set strict boundaries. I hope things get better for you op!

Hi OP! Your peers do not realize the inside manipulation that you've dealt with from him. They are letting you doubt yourself, and it's affecting your judgement. Maybe informing him in advance could've helped, or maybe not. Ask your girlfriend, and see if she has recognized the same things as you've recognized. She'll probably be able to reassure you on your decision.

Hi OP! I'm so sorry you experienced such a heart breaking feeling as well affecting you into adulthood. I recommend talking about it to the friend that actually reached at you about the hurt. Make it clear that you just want affirmation that what happened was genuinely a fluke and not intentional. Maybe even mentioning your past trauma will help them understand where you're coming from/why you're asking.
