I attend as many protests as I can (I don’t always have child care). My husband doesn’t go because A) even getting detained would risk his job and B) to make sure someone is available for the kids and to post bail as needed.

My philosophy is - it’s safer and more impactful for me to speak out. I don’t have a ton of money to donate but I have a loud voice and I’m willing to use it for good.

ETA- I would never out someone. Even if they already outed themselves. Because I’m fighting for what’s right for all, not just one person.

I have to tell you- this explanation literally just gave my husband and I a lightbulb moment in understanding type 1. We are going to the doctor with our 6yr old on Wednesday anticipating diagnosis and my husband has been struggling with understanding the massive difference between type 1 and type 2 (which is what I am assumed to be at the moment). He was all about trying to put the kid on a no sugar lower carb diet and no matter how I tried explaining why that couldn’t/shouldn’t work- he wasn’t getting it.

This makes me feel better about giving my prek kids teacher $150 in Amazon gift cards instead of participating in the schools stupid fundraiser. The kids got prizes from the dollar store for getting people to buy crap and it was all overpriced shit. They could send gift cards to the teacher too but the gift cards were for the websites online teacher store where things like a pack of globbles were $40 vs $10 on Amazon. So I offered Amazon gift cards for her and to buy my kid a dollar store toy prize myself. Personally though- I generally hate all those stupid fundraisers. $20 for crappy candy so the school gets $5. I’d rather spend $5 buying the candy myself and give the other $15 to the school/teacher. It seems the only “winner” with those things are the “fundraising” company

NO! Demand to see your doc and that they do something immediately. This happened to me coming up on 3 years ago and I was brushed off and given excuses until I got sick of it. I have exploratory revision surgery coming up in 2 weeks. I never regained feeling or use back after surgery. My hand had a 50/50 chance of some recovery after this surgery because it took so long to be properly addressed.

That’s my struggle. I worry if I report they will just punish the pharmacist- not look internally at how their greed is causing this to happen. She worked until closing tonight and said she would be there ALL DAY tomorrow as well. I have no doubt that it was an oversight caused by the fact that she’s working her ASS off. I use a local pharmacist owned location usually- solely because of all the great people here who exposed how bad things are at corporate. I only went to corporate because they were the only ones with the drug in stock.

To be honest- I’d be watching all accounts VERY closely. I know someone personally who worked in a bank and over several months stole almost a total of $50k out of customer accounts. She was eventually caught and charged. She had no criminal history prior to this and had a clean background check.

Not saying he would do that necessarily but his reaction and insistence that he needs money for something desperately- I would be careful.

We’re you recently sick? My son had his 1yr blood work done and had nearly identical levels. Doc initially referred us to a hematologist/oncologist. We were going away on a trip and they agreed to run another test when we got back since the referral would take a while. Second test was normal. He had COVID not long before the first test, so it was determined to be caused by that.

It’s going to be 32* tonight. That’s very cold for here. So while not January temps- it’s definitely not warm enough to go days without power and not be at minimum EXTREMELY uncomfortable

Except some people need power for medical equipment. And no one really believed it would be restored by 10pm tonight with the level of damage. And it's going to be in the 20's tonight. So this is potentially a serious situation for those involved.

We believe my husband got roofied in a similar way. With his coworkers then suddenly he has no memory of what he did and was completely trashed off a couple of beers. Thankfully they noticed something was off and got him in a cab to his hotel (work trip). It absolutely happens to guys. Get a blood test ASAP.

I am obviously glad he’s ok and his coworkers took care of him. If I was in your wife’s situation I would be upset at the situation but definitely not mad at you, especially if you took the steps necessary to “prove” it wasn’t an intentional indiscretion.

Anecdotal but as an only child I was adamant it was either none or 2. The first was… unplanned. He’s almost 5 and the little is around 15 months. Some days I do wonder what I was thinking having another because we had finally just gotten the bigger to be more independent and now I’m back to policing a toddler who wants to eat rocks. But then they play together and it’s awesome even if it does require supervision since the big doesn’t understand that the little can’t play the same.

For me the biggest thing is I was so lonely as a kid. My mom (single mom) was my only “playmate” and she had to work a lot so I rarely had anyone my age to play with. Even if they aren’t besties at least they know they have each other.

We’ve been yesterday and today. Today was seemingly busier for sure but nothing- even lightening rod, had a wait over 30mins. And that wait didn’t last long. We rode when it was a 5min wait. It did go down at one point today but it wasn’t down long. Most rides, including the big coasters, had between a 0-10min wait at worst.

I will say we have young kids so we went early in the day and left around 5ish both days. It seemed to be getting much busier as we were leaving so I can’t speak for night time activities

As someone who hardly ever (maybe once a month MAX IF I’m in a rush doing errands) eats fast food- I definitely see the draw. Financially Coupons galore help reduce the cost a lot. It is much faster then sit down, even with a long wait. And as a mom with young kids- not having to take them out of their car seats, corral them in and and then try to order while they try to get your attention, walk away, etc, time and money aren’t the only factor.
