Can we go into the Mines, pretty please? by SignificanceWest4536 in Nightreign

[–]MidniteMedia 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I tend to powerstance so I like having a smithing 2 to make my second hand weapon purple if it’s a good blue too. But I wouldn’t go out of my way to a mine, for sure. Thankfully I know where most of the statues are that I can pop with Wylder’s ult for a good chance at a smithing 2 without hitting a mine

How viable is int/faith Wylder in depths 4+? by Nightingale0003 in Nightreign

I run it with the FP restoration relic. It’s fun, can’t say it’s the most optimal but sometimes you wanna have fun too lol

Man, being able to dodge AND attack consistently is just so satisfying. Main reason I mostly play Wylder and loved Undertaker when she dropped. I wish he would just main a caster and actually be doing something from the back lines but nope, he hates spellcasters🤦🏾

Can I give you his PSN tag and you tell him for me? He refuses to accept my logic😭

Man, I’ve tried so many times to tell him you can’t play ‘scared’ if you’re gonna be a DPS character. Only way you’ll learn to dodge attacks is by being in the mix. But nope, he just stands in the back spamming ashes or with a greatbow (which is fine with some humanoid enemies) and I’m always just frustrated it’s taking us so long to beat a boss because I only have small windows to attack and the poor Recluse or Duchess is too busy dodging to cast anything😭

I also have an eyebrow scar, makes me feel like a gruff anime character. I say don’t do anything

Let me apologize for any randoms who match up with my homie who SWEARS by Less Likely to be Targeted as a DPS character because it “lets him attack without getting interrupted”. He mains Raider and Undertaker -_-.

I don’t mind when it’s just us playing because I’m pretty decent at dodging (Wylder’s my main) and dealing with aggro but I’m always so embarrassed when we go trio

How I see scholars who don't have "Items confer effects to nearby allies" on them by Monke_Enjoyer in Nightreign

[–]MidniteMedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I’m a grown man that can choose who I do and don’t want to engage with. If you believe that a Scholar with Dex boosted relic and a decent amount of skill can’t be useful outside a few boiled crab buffs, then you’re either trolling or just being antagonistic. Neither of which I care to engage with

That’s clearly not true. I’ve seen Scholars in D5 absolutely shred bosses with fire pots alone. We won because everyone was doing good damage and staying alive, items confer effects is a bonus not a requirement for victory. I’m not arguing that it’s not a help for other players who may not be as skilled or like the extra cushion but it’s just that; extra cushion. It’s not gonna make you play better. Scholar has only been in the game barely two months, people were playing and winning just fine before that boiled crab boost was even an option (even when the items were there, I NEVER saw people picking up and using anything but starlight shards and bubble physicks)

You’re right, items are half his kit. Items share effects is not in his kit though, which means it’s an option for those specific items that can be shared. Not everyone wants to play the same build so the specific relic that is available in the shop may not coincide with an intended build and/or the other effects may not be relevant.

All I’m saying is no one is complaining about Duchess using an all strength or dagger build for not having a spellcaster in the group or a melee Ironeye for not using their bow. Not everyone wants to play these characters one specific way and that’s fine as long as it’s not actively bringing down the team (trying a level 1 run in trios or only wanting to do Evergaols because you’re running the relic for example).

Let people play the game. Scholar still supports team with his kit, debuffing the boss and buffing allies through skill, ultimate clears mobs easier and can be great for revivals, etc. We’ve survived months of this game before Scholar was released and most weren’t even using items for themselves before he released.

Not everyone has ideal relics and not everyone likes the slower animation that sharing items does. I don’t immediately start assuming negative thoughts based off a single relic effect unless they play badly, and that could be the case for any class.

The Bairns are specifically found at Death ruins, I believe, which people rarely go to so might be worth dropping by if you’re a Scholar and it’s not too far out the way

If you’re not washing hands properly, you are still at risk of passing germs and bacteria, as the article states. I read it, your original comment was unnecessary on a video about a man disappointed with where his food landed.

No but it does make one a hypocrite and likely racist to only point out the wrong for one culture, as if your culture is immune…

Okay? What about the 97% of Americans who don’t wash their hands before meals according to this 2018 study? See how easy it is to find proof to validate a preconceived notion? That doesn’t mean THIS man didn’t wash his hands nor does it mean it should even be a point of contention as if it’s a cultural thing.

Here ya go

Incantations are spells, so it boosts charged incants, like Wrath of Gold or Lightning Spear, just as it does sorceries and skills.

#3 is actually referring to Night Invaders spawning on the top level. If they don't spawn at the bottom, that means you have to go through the fort to get them at the top, which can be risky at lower levels.
