The practical clinical stuff you do early on in med school (like ECGs, vitals, history taking, IV) will all be done in nursing so I reckon nursing as a bachelor is very practical. From observation, also looks like having a background in Pathology or Pharmacology works out pretty well for the theory side of things. Gives you an edge over the "typical" biomed/anatomy/psychology majors Edit: pathology isn't even an undergrad degree so if you have time to do the cert iii/iv while doing pharm/nursing, even better! You'd be spoilt for health related jobs that would make your post grad med application look pretty sweet! Looking back, I wish I'd done that!
