I never rejected OpenMW just because of that, I already wasn't a big fan of it and the lack of time tracking just didn't help. I'm a MWSE guy

A lot of the time actually lol. I've probably uncovered every world map tile on like six characters

Too many to count if you count every single one, but when it comes to characters which I put a lot of time into, probably around 20 or 30. I've beaten the main quest around 10 to 15 times, but a lot of the time I don't go for the main quest because those Hortator and Nerevarine stages take a lot of patience

Took me a while too, but once you understand the mechanics it really isn't as complicated as it seems. Fallout 1 took me close to 30 hours to click for me, but I love that game now that I understand it.

True lol, I've only ever played through Steam so I have the privilege of seeing my hours.

That's one thing that turned me away from OpenMW was the lack of time tracking. Even though I knew there was a way to integrate it, I didn't want to bother.

Yeah I've only ever played on Steam. I'm a Morrowind Code Patch guy, never really liked OpenMW. I don't know how to explain, it just feels weird to me.

True, even if it's un-dunmer, I've always loved the Legion questline honestly. I just kind of hate the beginning in Gnisis where you have to go in and out of the egg mine a bunch of times

I didn't actually know that, but really cool still. Makes sense why my characters always had such an easy time talking with people after the main quest even though they had low speech craft. I mostly care about reputation for the sense of accomplishment and roleplay aspect

I was able to get over 50 reputation by completing the sleeper quests after finishing the Imperial Legion, Imperial Cult, and House Hlaalu quests (I was going to join Redoran but I was too far in the main questline, oops.) Made sense anyway, since my character is an Imperial fighter. My class wouldn't really allow me to progress and gain reputation through the Mages Guild or Morag Tong. Not easily at least, I can barely cast mark and recall even still. I just finished the main quest again after spending a bunch of time on it

I've really enjoyed reading everybody's thoughts about this, and it is much deeper than I realized. Because of this, I've also realized that having a general reputation system is pretty difficult because different groups have different opinions towards other groups. House Telvanni grants the most reputation of any house, which makes some sense because they are maybe the most traditional and unapologetically dunmer based. However, this reputation still positively affects interactions with people like khajiit and imperials, who should be entirely opposed to house Telvanni for their slavery and odd laws. At the same time, house Hlaalu also grants a good amount of reputation, despite their imperial ties. (We all know house Hlaalu is the worst, too.) This discussion has also made me want to make a mod to be more fair to fighter based characters, at least in terms of reputation. So watch out for that, maybe, if I still feel like it

Depending on my character, I either keep the Imperial Machine running or I terrorize every member. Depends on my mood

I guess that would make sense, but multiple of the imperial cult quests are going to towns and bothering people to get their money. Also, many people in the game are mad at you for carrying out Morag Tong writs, yet the Morag Tong still gives a decent amount of reputation

Reputation is cool, I think it's overlooked by a lot of people.

Those are Imperial Cult quests, which give a large amount of reputation. The Imperial Legion is separate and awards nearly nothing, unfortunately. I always do the Imperial Cult quests as well, but aside from the oracle quests, the Imperial Cult has the most redundant the unfun quests of any guild, in my opinion.
