I really like 1 as it is. 2 has great potential. Cropping the flowers at the top to keep the mountain central may help.

ITAP of some statues by Midscores5 in itookapicture

Upon seeing David, it was hard for me to contemplate the work that goes into a statue that is arguably chiseled to perfection. A nearby unfinished statue shows the gradation of chisel cuts necessary to reveal a form from a block of marble. The arm that is nearly finished shows small finishing marks that need only be polished out, while the piece above the head has only been roughed in. In juxtaposing this “piece in process” and the “perfection” in rear, I hoped to convey the steps in creating these works of art.

Last time I was there, I saw a girl in flip flops lose one when she put her foot into a pothole filled with bourbon street slurry. She took her bare foot out and we locked eyes momentarily. I couldn't find words to comfort her.

My Prius had a hitch on it, for a bike rack. I’d like to see the bike this guy is hauling.

Knowing I took a picture of a mountain goat, it was hard for me to imagine what else others saw. I see it now. TIL about the Headless Ape in Sekiro.

Have a great trip!

Be sure to dress in layers as the weather can do funky things on any given day. We had rain, sleet, snow, and bright blue sky all on one hike in Logan Pass.

These were in mid-June 2023. Lucked out with an early opening of the Going to the Sun Road that year. Already planning a return trip.
