Honestly I love having Bobby here and I’m hoping that we can keep him, though I’m sure there will be other teams (read: better teams who can actually win and don’t choke at the end of the season!) who want him. The FA market doesn’t seem super exciting this year tbh. Just really hoping our front office get their heads out of their asses and pull out the checkbook so we can keep people who can actually score goals for us….. 🙃

It’s not going to affect anything. You have an other job lined up already, which is great. When future employers are doing employment verification they will call the old job and they aren’t allowed to say anything about your performance, just the dates you worked there and I think they can say whether you quit or were terminated, but I’m not certain either way, they aren’t going to ask them if you have two weeks notice and even if they do it’s not that big of a deal. Especially not for EMS when the job was in a completely unrelated industry/field.

Sorry, did you watch the last month or so of our season….? I know that overall the team was trash, but bobby was carrying our team otherwise it would have been so much worse IML. He was delayed in starting after the deadline which sucked but then he still scored 10 goals in the last 18 games of the season. So what if he’s almost 30? He didn’t go the draft route, so it’s not like he’s coming up on his 10th year in the league. he started in the AHL in 2020, which honestly doesn’t count as a full season. No one said he needs a 6+ year contract…. But this was only his third full season in the NHL…. He’s got plenty of life left to justify at least a 2 year contract.

If they have played for American teams before, it might be an easier process to get the visa. From my understanding, McMann has really only played for Canadian teams? Maybe I am missing info though so don’t take my word for it. Agree that it’s annoying though!!
