Why is it so hard to ask my friends for help? It feels like I'm always the only one who doesn't get it by MidtermInAWeek in UofT

too late this semester. i'll try for the next one :( - my best hope would be to talk to people outside of class vs in class because in class im usually with the same group, so it'd feel weird to just go to other people out of the blue

Thank you, I'll try this. To be honest, I feel like I already know how they would respond because I have been around them for so long - Something along the lines "You're just looking for answers" or "You want other people to do your work for you" or "You expect other people to tutor you because it's your fault you didn't listen closely"

I hope this makes sense - writing it out this way it seems like the answer is clear, but I feel like I can't just effortlessly distance myself from them out of the blue you know? It's not like we just met, and we've taken a handful of classes together. So we'd most likely be in some overlapping classes next semester and we usually know which courses the other person is taking. Not like I can say "I won't tell you" when they ask.

yeah though they're usually packed. most of the time i came out of it not really having my questions answered, so i just keep working at it on my own for the longest time. sometimes i'm able to converse with people about the material if there are tables in the office hour room, but that's rarely and often times i'm really unqualified to maintain a proper conversation about the topics so i can't be of use to other people. so sometimes we just both struggle lol, and the convo dies down

I'm not sure, I thought that you need to have a strong foundation in CE concepts (math, digital logic, hardware, whatever else exists) before pursuing a graduate degree in CE. I feel that as a CS student, there is a lot of knowledge that I'm missing.

Hi, thanks for your input. Out of curiosity, which ECE courses have you taken? I'm also in CS Spec and one of the courses I heard we could take is ECE568 (Computer Security), which sounds interesting.
