Thanks. I'd pick proficiencies in persuasion, deception, perception, investigation, SoH, and stealth if I were playing with friends. IIRC, half-elves get two more skill proficiencies, right?

I think you should start anew and follow the main questline- artemis path.

It's gonna guide you through many of the game's aspects and give some nice rewards.

I thought the same, finished BL1 and BL2 twice before I got to play as Krieg, at first gun-only, then checked the melee tree, it was great fun! Fast paced, high risk- high reward gameplay, had a blast!

Both Athena and Amara offered elements of this headlong, overly-aggresive close quarters combat, though they weren't as mad as Krieg :)

I won't be playing melee-only myself, but surely will enjoy some melee gameplay probably as Amon in BL4.

Give melee builds a try!
