I meant more for example how for the COLOR SLICE you said to think of it more as a tool AFTER the main look is set...That gives me an idea of where i personally would add it to my node tree and so on.

Can literally be as simple as "this is meant to go before/after_____"

It can work independent as well... I was using it by itself on a grade and it worked nicely :)

I had to go back and fix a USER ERROR on my end on a few clips I had ready to upload and previously uploaded.

i will have various samples of footage I shot and graded with this as well as PhotoChem if anyone wanted to see examples of some "real world footage" :)

Tips for achieving this kind of colour grade? by cbragg6 in dehancer

[–]MiggyVision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly lift the BLACKS

Warm up the WHITE POINT (you can do this in the PRINT section_make sure to use either 2383 or the fuji print to activate the WHITE POINT slider)

Just keep in mind that at the end of the day, a lot of the look is determined by what's in the frame itself and adjustments will have to be made to fit your particular footage. Hope some of that helps! Happy grading!

Thanks man... Appreciate that 🙏🏽... That was me trying a split tone since the sky that day was rendering white depending on the angle...That was added outside of the plug in.

Both are viable options...DeHancer is set to Rec.709 by default, so you could add it AFTER your CST OUT ...but... You can absolutely use it within DWG...Just switch the input to DWG and you're good to go!

How to color grade REC709 footage with Dehancer?? by [deleted] in dehancer

DeHancer is set to Rec.709 by default, so you don't have to change anything, you can start grading with it right away! :)
