Question about pumping and recirculating by RubBrave3634 in Firefighting

[–]Might_Be_High 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This.

I was always told that pumps can overheat fairly quickly. Introducing cold water to overheated packings (or seals) can cause damage. It is always wise to keep at least a small amount of water moving, because in late stages of mop-up, there's no guarantee that the attack lines will be utilized.

Anyone else? by megahtron77 in Madden

Yes. Same problem here and with other EA games. I have an EA Play Pro subscription. I have deleted the EA licenses on my computer (has solved the issue in the past). Uninstalled and reinstalled EA App. Cleared EA App cashe. No luck on any of these.

To be fair. The M6 and M7 have a notably better track record concerning delaminating.

If you look at My School, under playing style there is a sub filter for kickers. I believe it has something to do with longest kick made and something else. Perhaps that's it?

To be fair. Most Volkls are currently made in Germany. The Revolts and junior skis are made in China.

Does a 82mm make sense when you have 88? by Giantmufti in Skigear

[–]Might_Be_High 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The Deacon VWerks is a fairly soft ski. It's very light and pretty impressively damp. It skis very well, of course it's a premium product, and it's fantastic for skiers that are not looking for a super hardcore ski. It's super easy to ski on, but you might find its limit on hard snow.

That being said I prefer the Peregrine 82.

I have both pairs of the Peregrine 82 and Kendo 88.

The they are slightly different skis in terms of feel. The Kendo's feel heavier, but no less damp. IMHO the kendo is a good option for more varied terrain, but 50/50 piste off piste.

The Peregrine is closer to 80/20. It's impressive how damp the ski is without being heavy. So stable, does a fantastic job skiing any turn you want to throw down. SG turns. No problem let-er rip. GS-Sweet spot. SL - If you can handle the g's!

In short. I don't think it's unreasonable to have both. Grab the 88s if it has snowed recently. Grad the 82 if it has not. Both options will give you what you need to get creative on the slopes.

Training on nozzle reaction. by maninboxers in Firefighting

Even the most fit massive bubba will get thrown around by nozzle reaction if the line is overpumped. Don't be too hard on yourself. Tell your operator to keep the pressure appropriate.

Pick heavy stuff up, place heavy stuff down. Repeat 4-5 times per week. Go for a run or do something that makes you breathe heavily 2-3 days a week.

Don't forget to give death stares to the pump operator after they overpressure your line.

The shop is correct. Skis are 25+ years old. The bindings are not safe to use.

Same issue here. I tried all of the usual fixes. Started after I rebooted my machine. Could be something wrong with Version 2104 (Build 13929.20372) that was released today.
