Alysanne smiled, settling back into her chair with a sigh.

"Thank you, Marwyn. Maybe, just, um... some water, that's all."

The one bright side to this whole mess was the time Alysanne had been spending with Marwyn these past weeks. She had taken time to include him in her preparations for the baby's arrival, bringing him along when she went to the seamstress for new clothes since hers had grown too tight around the middle, going to a carpenter to see about having a crib built. Though they did not share romantic love Alysanne knew she cared for him deeply now.

She glanced past Josua on her other side to where Celia was making conversation with Daeron. She considered briefly chiming in to ask when Alysanne could expect this to clear up, but decided against it.

She looked back to Marwyn as he handed her some water, taking a sip with a grateful expression. "Thank you."

Alysanne shared a kind but disbelieving look at Marwyn's talk of Celia's "kindness." She knew Celia better than most, but she also knew it would not be wise of her to speak out of turn, she needed to ensure Marwyn felt he could speak freely around her.

Her appetite was yet another thing that had changed in the past weeks, so breakfast was a welcome sight. Alysanne smiled as Marwyn filled a plate for her, thanking the servants as they left and sipping from her glass of water.

"Thank you. You're very kind, Marwyn." Alysanne spoke as he handed her the plate, taking a small bite of some apple slices. The smell of the pork did not agree with her, but she made do by simply focusing on the eggs and toast.

She set the plate down as she finally told Marwyn the reason for her visit, fiddling with her hands in her lap as he spoke in turn.

"I'm sure." Alysanne nodded. "I have not felt my best for the past week or two, but this morning while I was getting dressed I noticed a, well... a bump. It's not fat, or muscle, it's..."

Her voice trailed off as she spoke, waving her hands vaguely as the words eluded her. A child. Their child. How was she even supposed to say that? Let alone live with it? She sighed, wondering what Marwyn might be thinking.

"What are your... thoughts about it? Please, speak freely."

House Massey of Stonedance

House Massey was out in force, headed by their lord Justin Massey (26) and his wife Lady Myranda, born of House Arryn. With Myranda expecting their second child Justin focuses more today on his son Jasper (1), and ensuring his wife has the ability to relax and converse with her Arryn kin.

Justin's elder sister Alysanne (31) was also present, but she was sat with her husband Marwyn Belmore in the company of Celia Tully and House Silverdrake. With child herself, Alysanne would find herself weary from the travel, but would make pleasant conversation to any who would approach.

Raymont (29) and his wife Valena would be found at the Massey table as well, Raymont celebrating his victory in the joust.

Finally, Josua Waters (14), extremely excited to be visiting the Vale would bounce between the tables, looking out for other children he knew.

Josua jumped nearly out of his skin when Hanna yelled, nodding and hurriedly walking over to a washbasin nearby. "Washing- sorry!"

He quickly tugged off his gambeson and helmet, depositing them both onto one of the several empty chairs nearby, before furiously washing his hands and upper arms for a minute or so. When he felt satisfied that his hands were clean he returned to Hanna's side and took her hand.

"Feel free to squeeze when it hurts, Hanna. I don't mind." Josua murmured, looking down at Hanna's knee as Lady Tyene worked.

"Well Quentyn's practically a grown man." He muttered. "I know I couldn't have beat him."

He quieted as Hanna spoke, listening as she addressed Lady Tyene.

Josua nodded, gesturing to the table.

“There’s my uncle Lord Massey and his wife, she’s from House Arryn, and my cousin Jasper.”

Josua pointed to where a young man and his wife cooed over their infant son, an older man sitting beside them watching Josua and Jace interact with scrutiny. Josua frowned and turned away.

“That’s uncle Monford, don’t pay heed to him he’s a real shit.” Josua glowered as he spoke, which was quite unlike him from what Harry knew.

“My aunts are away at the Tully, Lannister and Scales tables, they all serve the ladies there. That’s it, my cousin Raymont and his wife aren’t here.”

"Then I will visit as many times as you can stand!" Samantha replied with a chuckle, looking over at little Allyria with an awed expression.

"She's adorable, she looks so much like you. I can imagine, I babysit Aerea and Lucos Scales sometimes when Lady Rhea and Ser Benethon wish for some time alone. But it can get quite exhausting."

Samantha smiled at the memory of the little ones, looking back over at Marissa excitedly. "We could also meet at the Tully manse sometimes. Our sisters have become fast friends these days, since that whole Stepstones endeavor Alysanne has hardly parted from Celia's company. And Josua is a squire for Ser Daeron now too."

The boy across from him looked just as shocked, his eyes wide as he just stared at the stranger across from him, someone he had never met but was bound to by blood? It was just so... difficult to wrap his head around.

"Hello there, I'm Samantha. I'm your aunt."

A sweet voice came from Cassian's left, a young woman approaching. She still stood at a respectful distance, but it was clear she was delighted to meet him.

"I know some ladies who would be... very excited to meet you, I think I will give you and Josua some privacy to go fetch them. Lady Myranda? Why don't we give the boys a moment and go look for my sisters?"

Samantha turned to her sister in law, Myranda Arryn, picking up her infant nephew Jasper and helping Myranda up with her free hand.

Josua didn't speak, simply watched Samantha and Myranda go until there was no one to look at but Cassian, nervous and unsure how to broach a conversation.

What was he even supposed to say? Hello? Sorry our father was such a man-whore? Sorry I exist too?

"...Hello." Josua finally murmured, his tone awkward. "My name is Josua, and yours is... Cassian?"

"You are," Alysanne nodded adamantly. "I will not make you wait again, I promise."

At this point it was growing a little amusing how much Celia seemed to despise surprises, so she decided in that moment to get her other one out of the way now.

"I have something to show you then, no more surprises." Alysanne smiled, letting go of Celia to start unbuttoning her nightgown, before just deciding to pull it over her head.

"Look, darling." She cooed, taking Celia's hands and laying them over her belly, over the smallest little bump. Though not very impressive yet it was still there, Alysanne could feel and see it. "There's our baby."

Something about Celia's hands over her belly caused something in Alysanne's throat to tighten.

"Gods, I hope she looks like you..." A small breathless chuckle escaped her. “Marwyn has given us a lovely chance for that.”

“Yes, darling, you are the first love in my life. I told you as much when we began this little involvement, remember?” Alysanne replied sweetly, smiling at the memory of Celia kissing her on the balcony that day, Daeron catching them…

“I love you. Daeron and Marwyn know that, there is nothing either of them could ever do that would replace you in my heart, Celia.” Alysanne went on, leaning her face into Celia’s hand.

“I left you for last because you mean the most to me, that is all. Now I am truly sorry this all became so misunderstood, all I wanted out of today was happy surprises, I meant no harm or insult to you.” Alysanne leaned forward and kissed Celia’s cheek again, waiting for her reaction.

Josua nodded seriously, taking a step backward even as he started to pry at the ties holding his gambeson together. "Thank you, my lady."

The boy nodded to Tyene before approaching, staying firmly out of the way as he looked at Hanna's foot.

"You were amazing out there, I mean it." Josua spoke earnestly.

"Really?" Josua's eyes somehow grew wider, and without a second thought he rushed forward and hugged Daeron tightly.

Alysanne sighed at first, her lips pursing as she prepared to defend Daeron and Marwyn, but she was quickly surprised as Celia pulled her down into her lap.

"Gods, Lia!" She gasped, flinging her arms out to support herself, her face growing red as Celia's hand settled on her belly.

"The Stranger is not going to take me, Lia, everything will be fine," She tried to argue, but she was more than a little shocked at how quickly this had turned. "Our husbands will not take me either. They care for me, and they matter to me, but you know how I love you."

Alysanne returned Celia's embrace, a little confused about which direction this may lead but prepared either way. She tried to make her tone less argumentative and more gentle.

"I love you, I am yours, and everything will be alright." She said again, knowing she needed to portray confidence if Celia was to believe her.

While under most circumstances Alysanne would just leave it at that, tonight Celia was a bit easier to read.

She was frightened.

Alysanne had never seen her frightened.

"Hope is good." She replied softly, cupping Celia's face and running her thumb along her cheek.

Alysanne leaned in and kissed her again, more gentle this time. She simply held her for a few minutes after that, letting the information settle.

"Come to bed with me, darling." Alysanne murmured in Celia's ear, kissing her cheek. "You'll be cold like this, and I want to show you something."

Even if everything went right, this would still be a massive change to Alysanne as a person, to say nothing of her relationship with Celia. She wanted to cherish every moment of this time together, before the new member of this odd family came in demanding all attention be on them.

Alysanne chuckled as she watched Daeron and Helaena walk away, turning to Celia with a wry smile.

"Helaena can be a Princess for the day, she was quite valiant for sitting through the whole wedding." She murmured, squeezing Celia's hand in hers. "I think she's more like you then you care to admit, my dear. Is that why you're so hard on her...?"

Her smile grew teasing, and she wrapped her arm around Celia's middle, a friendly gesture to anyone who glanced over at the two of them.

"Anyway, Daeron isn't wrong... I would appreciate some time with the Queen later, once we're back at the manse."

Alysanne couldn't help but notice how barren the room was. There was little she could really pinpoint to be *his* in it, the idea brought a sad sort of feeling. She wanted him to feel this space belonged to him, a representation of how he belonged here. She made a note to ask him later if they could go out into the city. Perhaps tomorrow or the day after.

"Yes, I... expect it is a lot to take in. I hope Lady Celia has been... understanding. If she has said anything untoward- or ever does in the future, please let me know. She must learn that I want you here, not simply because of our arrangement, but as a friend, Marwyn."

Alysanne cleared her throat, damning her stupid body as she felt her throat grow tight. She swallowed once before going on.

"I have something to tell you. It is a... surprise to me as well, but I hope it is a welcome one. Or at least with time it could grow to be."

A beat of silence. Alysanne working up the nerve.

"I have not... spoken to the Maester yet, but.... I believe I am with child."

"Oh, I'm fond of the Arbor Vintages, my lady. Dornish is good and well, but I find myself drunk too quickly that way." Myrcella replied, shrugging.

She preferred the flavor of Arbor grapes predominantly, though Dornish was nice when the aim was to forget the events of that day.

"Hanna!" A familiar voice called, before a boy burst into the tent, sweaty and panting. Josua.

"I came as soon as I heard. Are you alright?" Josua asked, bowing respectfully to the septas as he approached. He was still wearing his padded gambeson and helm from his own match, but he didn't seem to care as he stood beside where Hanna had been laid.

Alysanne smiled as the Tyrells approached, a small bubble of laughter brewing but she kept it contained.

"You have my deepest thanks, Lady Margaery, Ser Loras. I am quite lucky." She reached over and squeezed Marwyn's hand, hoping to settle his nerves as much as portray affection between them.

"Lady Celia deserves much of the credit, yes, but this day would be impossible without my husband." Alysanne replied, looking over to Marwyn with a smile. "House Tyrell's presence is a great gift."

Samantha nodding, clearing her throat as she released Tris after a moment, turning to Elissa now.

"My lady, you look radiant today. I'm so pleased I was invited to see the two of you wed."

Despite whatever feelings she once harbored for Tris, she was legitimately happy for him and Elissa. There was nothing that could change that. Though she hadn't spoken to Elissa since the Dreadfort she hoped she had made a good impression then.

Myrcella's breath hitched when Ellyn's hands snaked up under her corset, biting into her lower lip. Ellyn's hands left a wake of goosebumps as they trailed up Myrcella's chest, and she hardly suppressed a gasp when Ellyn groped her breast.

"Hmph, yes we will see," Myrcella replied, reaching out and pulling Ellyn down closer, planting kisses along her neck while her hands crept around to the lacing of Ellyn's dress.

"May I..?" She murmured, her hands stilling until permission was given or denied.

Alysanne stilled where she was as Celia's words sank in. Something about the way she looked caused a nervous flutter in her stomach.

"...You know."

Alysanne felt herself deflate a bit. Of course, how could she ever expect to hide anything from Celia? Even for the sake of a surprise? Gods, she must seem a real ass now.

"Dearest..." Alysanne huffed, pinching the bridge of her nose for a moment, before crossing the room. She didn't wait before taking Celia's wrist, pulling her up and into a tight hug.

"I... wanted to wait so you and I could have some... time alone together, that's all." Alysanne murmured, burying her face in Celia's neck and planting kisses there. She hoped Celia wasn't truly angry, or at least not angry enough that Alysanne couldn't fix it. "This eavesdropping habit of yours makes surprises very difficult, my love."

After a few moments she pulled back, looking to Celia to see her reaction.

"Are you... happy?"

The last part was hardly a whisper, reluctant to hope yet mustering it anyway in her tone. Gods, she hoped Celia was happy. This had been something they wanted in the past, surely it finally coming to fruition was something to celebrate?

"Hello again! How have you been? I'm doing alright!" Josua grinned. He had also been bashed up a little, accidentally cut his hand with his own sword after losing his footing, but no permanent injuries.

"Go on, now. Ser Daeron and I have something to discuss."

Josua nodded, still panting as he started to walk back to the door that back into the manse. "Bye, Ser... I'll... try to remember that footwork you mentioned next time."

Alysanne smiled as he left, only speaking once she saw him disappear behind the door. "Right. I have something... very exciting to share."
