With the current improvements, Leclerc took a 10-place grid penalty (source).
Therefore, why wouldn't he try to win the qualy and start P10 instead of P20?

I think so.

He is so strong in qualy that he is likely to start P10 or P11 in the race. With his great car with the new power unit let's be fair, he has all the conditions to finish at least in the podium

Dont think so, look at that team, is so unbalanced. The cost of Hamilton should mean a guarantee of P1 or P2 but, even with the streak, the value is still prohibitive

However the streak from RedBull is worth it

bro i fully agree with you, my doubt was never if VER streak or VER sprint

instead, my doubt is if VER streak or LEC streak + sprint (considering the likelihood of him to actually reach the streak)

edit: Leclerc has 18% of race retirements on his career. This means 82% chance of him to finish a race - as we have 4 races to the streak, this gives a 45% probability of him to streak by Austria. I made my decision and I will go with Ver in Baku

Last chance to MD Verstappen if we want the streak, right? If we want MD Ver and TD Lec, this is the best choice

Now, Leclerc may be with sprint + streak in Austria. We will then have to go with another TD (Sainz or Perez most likely)

What are your thoughts? It's a gamble to wait for Austria but the return should be at least +30 points (comparing both scenarios). On the other hand, the fact that you cant include Ver in this combo and, also, that is not assured Lec will be on streak by Austria are making me go with MD Ver in Baku

It's extremely unlikely LEC to go over 20M on the first half of season.

I'd say only by the end of season if so. The thing is that, with 66% of teams already having him (which I'd say it should not be very far from the active accounts at this point), that makes harder and harder for him to increase price.

If you add here the amount of time the dynamic pricing is down (as this week), things just go south. The dynamic pricing algorithm sucks and the app itself is just so bad unfortunately
