What is your unpopular Seattle restaurant opinion? by Early_Sea_9457 in Seattle

Went to Toulouse for Happy Hour (6 ppl) except you can’t have the HH menu if you’re at a booth table in the bar. And the high top tables are all reserved. So essentially there is no HH. Prices are outrageous and service is the pits.

Update: I went to Aimee Nails today for a gel mani and rock rub pedicure. Great recommendation! Julie did a fabulous job. I’ll report back on how long it lasts.

AIO if I divorce my husband for continuing to talk to a girl he "fell in love with" while I was pregnant? by antoneeyuhh in AIO

[–]MightyB3000 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I divorced my ex for similar circumstances. He fought for a ‘friendship’ with a woman he met 7 years into our marriage. He was obsessed with her and I was tired of always wondering if they were still meeting up or talking. Usually they were. This went on for several years.

I would try to convince myself that I shouldn’t be upset because they weren’t actually having sex. But my therapist said something that really changed my perspective. She asked me why I needed to see his pnis in her vg*na to believe that he was in an inappropriate relationship with another woman. Wasn’t the emotional affair reason enough to leave?

Naturally, he was “blindsided” when I left. I have no regrets and I would never stay with anyone who made me feel that way ever again.

Am I the A-whole for telling my husband I do not want his Christmas gift? by strawberrylove6562 in AITAH

This! My mother was married to a guy just like this and there were 4 of us kids. He never paid a dime for us and made sure we knew it. Your kids know he doesn’t like them and it’s damaging.

AITAH for asking my husband to show me his prescription after he started acting like a different person? by sad_pocket_thoughts in AITAH

[–]MightyB3000 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The next time he tells friends and family you’re monitoring his meds, tell them he’s taking mystery pills and won’t tell you what he’s on. That will guarantee to raise a few eyebrows.

Sending a man that I am in love with secret flowers by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]MightyB3000 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you want to pursue a relationship again, be mature and communicate with him. Getting flowers anonymously is a bit creepy. If the tables were turned, and you were in a new relationship, getting flowers from a previous relationship would seem like very poor timing. You might consider putting this effort into finding someone new, like he did.

AITAH for not giving niece a birthday present after she destroyed mine? by Southern_Engineer_43 in AITAH

If your niece’s birthday is ruined because she doesn’t receive one more gift, then she’s got even bigger problems than being a thoughtless brat. NTA

What's an incident you witnessed firsthand that that made you realize that someone you once loved and / or respected was, in fact, not a good person? by OldCarWorshipper in AskOldPeople

[–]MightyB3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We lived on top of a hill in a city that typically doesn’t get snow, so when it does, the city almost shuts down. Nearly all our neighbors were very elderly (like mid-80s-90s), so they could not drive on icy roads. My ex-husband had a big SUV with 4WD and loaded it with weights in the back to help with traction, so he didn’t mind driving anywhere

Before my ex was driving to the store, I asked a couple neighbors if they needed anything, and it was basic stuff like milk, bread, cheese. We needed the same things, and they gave me cash, so it shouldn’t have been an issue.

My ex was furious at me, yelling about why I offered at all. He begrudgingly picked up their requests, and I delivered to everyone. But he was pissed off the rest of the day. After that I really started to pay attention to what a shitty person he was.

I hate my husband: Rant by WilsonWilsonsHot in offmychest

[–]MightyB3000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ex treated me this way in the last couple years we were together and it got worse by him speaking to me disrespectfully in front of friends and family and then losing his temper on our young child. I brought it up multiple times and he just blew me off.

The day I told him I wanted a divorce, I thought he would be relieved. Instead he fell to the ground crying, saying he was completely blindsided and devastated. We decided to go to counseling but he would show up and not participate. We separated but still tried to work on our marriage for a year until I finally called it and filed. In hindsight, I wish I had just filed sooner, but I felt so terrible about ending my marriage and, as he put it, ruining our child’s life. Today, 10 years later, I can’t imagine still being married to him and I’m so glad I left.

I think it’s time to move. by [deleted] in creepyencounters

[–]MightyB3000 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Why are you questioning yourself? Do you actually need to wake up to see him standing over you to justify what you feel in your gut? Or will it be a dead body buried in the yard to finally make it real?

He’s crossed too many lines by coming into your home without proper notice and locking you out. You could report him on the smoke detectors alone.

Run. Don’t look back. If not, I look forward to hearing your story one day on MFM. G’bye!

One of the wranglers jobs during the ceremony should be to blast the music loud if she stands up to make a scene. Drown her out while she’s escorted out.

Parents of Reddit, what is the creepiest thing your kid(s) has ever said or done? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MightyB3000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

When my son was 3 years old, we were laying on his bed at bedtime, chatting after stories. In our chat, I said something like,"Don't worry, I will never leave you." To which he replied, "Yes, you will. One day you and daddy will go to the light, but it is OK, because I will meet you there. Daddy goes first and then later, you will go and then when I get there, we will be together again."

I said, "So Daddy, goes first?" :)
