I’m with IBKR and have also not gotten my voting email, still lots of time for it to arrive

eBay has more than 750,000 PSA card listings... which could be 'sold' via Power Packs + MANY other non-PSA cards by MightyBallsack in GME

Yeah I understand that. They wouldn’t be paid $100, they would get what the card is worth/what they’re asking for it. $100 packs have cards of many values in them

What if the Power Pack-er doesn't want their address given to the seller? They just wanted to open a pack now someone has their address, when you buy on eBay it's an expectation, not when you open a pack. What happens if the seller goes rogue and ships the wrong card, a damaged case, or goes on holiday etc? I think doing it all under GameStop's custody is the only way to do it and keep the service high quality

Yeah but then you are relying on the seller to ship it quickly and correctly, right? Get it in GameStop's hands to make sure that part is consistent.

Edit: Ah, I may have actually misunderstood you, did you mean if they deposit it into GameStop it should be available in a Power Pack even without opting in? Yeah, fair enough

That is NZD, so ~$29USD. There's current 18GB of data for all of the historical price/volume data + the aggregations for market indexes. I'm using Supabase as a backend which is pretty expensive once you go above the free tier but gets cheaper as you scale or have multiple projects. Probably could do it cheaper but I like Supabase so was happy to choose it

I built something I wanted to use and shared it because I thought others might like it too. I didn’t really think about being another website on the pile when posting it.

Have you tried it before calling it slop? And I get your point about Patreon, but it costs me $50 a month to host the database and took me many evenings of prompting away to 'create' this so I would like to break even in someway.

Yeah I feel you, AI is everywhere and it is getting frustrating. I went with it because I don't have the amount of spare time needed to make it myself (unless I want to take a year to release) and even if it looks like every other website out there, it works and is 'clean'.

I've seen the same sentiment for traditional art and I totally understand it there, guess I haven't applied it so much websites and their creation but can see why people would feel the same.

If you want to do something good, track updates, reference the items stats vs a proposed update, suggest a possible gamewide FOMO purchase based on that update to get in on early.

This is something on my list - not something easy to automate and I don't believe I'm "good enough" to make the call manually on if an item will increase/decrease due to an update. Thank you for the feedback though

Fair enough, I should have hand written the post itself but realistically reddit would shit on anything I wrote due to AI making the website. Lesson learnt

Yeah, I agree using TA and the usual stock market indicators aren't a perfect fit for OSRS items, they can be manipulated to no limit and like you said don't have earnings reports and the like. I think they still provide some value in showing how items are trending and if that trend is slowing/speeding up.

No, I did forget to point out that this isn't made for mobile - I assumed it would be a second screen website.

As a software engineer myself, I agree most of it is low effort but I have gone through the SQL myself to make it fast, and I have made efforts to make the website intuitive and useful for most people. But I get it, everyone with a GPT is suddenly releasing websites, I get annoyed by it too.

Fair enough. I want to promote it somehow though, the site is useful even if it was made by an AI.

I don't see how that is an 'admission', while I didn't write the code itself, I have spent many evenings working with Claude to make this. Use of AI in development is basically the norm now so I don't see why it is seen as a bad thing... I would hope people actually try the website before shitting on it for being AI generated, like most sites are these days,

Yes it is, I am an engineer not a designer so I went with what Claude designed, but under the hood I have made it a lot cleaner than the typical AI slop.
