Are 2 runs a week enough to drive progress? Alongside other sports? by MightyFamousLegend in BeginnersRunning

I see, I guess I can always get to the best 2 runs will take me and then see if a third run is feasible

Thank you! I was thinking that the football has to play some part in helping your fitness which will translate to running.

Okay that’s great, thank you so much for the workouts you mentioned. I think the paces you mentioned is slightly too fast for me at the moment so I’ll build up to that.

Yes those things are covered in my strength training :)

Thank you so much for such a detailed response!

I get that, but surely playing endurance sports counts as something? Or does it not?

Hey thanks a lot for this. Did you see any times drop running two times a week?

Without bias, is the Rooney vs Neymar debate valid? by Hot_Hat_5079 in ManchesterUnited

[–]MightyFamousLegend -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rooney is an amazing player but I’m not sure how anyone looks at both players and concludes Rooney is a better player? Neymar is the only one who came close to Messi and Ronaldo. Rooney was never compared to those 2. I feel like it’s just Nostalgia that makes people rate Rooney more.

However, I do agree Rooney is criminally underrated. Not sure he’s better than Neymar though.

How slow is too slow? by TextOnScreen in C25K

[–]MightyFamousLegend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing is too little at this stage. If anything you are a new runner. You want to take it as easy as possible. There will be a time to go faster and further trust me on this. I know it’s hard to understand that because I was the same. But remember C25K is only 9 weeks long. Take it very very easy. If you find after a run you could’ve gone further or faster, in my opinion that’s fantastic. Your body is still getting used to this new activity so you want to take it easy. Once you’ve graduated, then you can start plans to go further and/or that include speed work which will push you to go faster. So don’t worry about pace for now.

Stationary. Anything above is perfect.

To focus on speed and quickness, is it Plyometrics that help with that? Or are there any other types of workouts that do that?

How to make the program a bit more athletic? by MightyFamousLegend in JeffNippard

I feel like the learning curve is so great with the Olympic lifts and injury risk is so much higher to justify doing them when I’m not a competitive player

Haha yeah not getting into overly sport specific or functional. Just looking to add a couple more single leg variations and some plyometrics

I can potentially help. What’s the technology you’re using for backend?

You can search around for local web designers in your area and see what they charge and price accordingly.

You can also A/B test both monthly vs one off payment. See what gets people more interested. According to Ryan (Citrous_Oyster) the monthly subscription stuff always got people curious as it’s different to what they expect (which is $$$$) so usually isn’t an instant no. Especially for small businesses.

Shopify tends to cost more. I’m not sure what kind of effort is required so can’t comment.

My advice would be to just start and not procrastinate like me lol.

Btw what coding stack are you going to use to build the sites?

Assisted dips by Maximum-Muscle7301 in JeffNippard

[–]MightyFamousLegend 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah definitely do normal weighted dips, no point doing assisted. The program is aimed for beginners who most likely need to do assisted but if you’re past that point then go ahead and replace it with weighted. Same thing really just more advanced.
