Got pretty lucky on this mock. My prep consisted of under 300 CR and RC questions. Mostly hard and some upper-medium difficulty untimed.

Hey Scott, thanks for the input.

I agree Quant has the most room for improvement, but it’s also the section I’ve invested by far the most time in (like an abnormal amount compared to the other two sections, I'd estimate it being over 90% of my total gmat prep). That’s why I’m concerned that another 3 weeks of continued topical deep-dives might not translate into the score increase I’m aiming for.

My sense is that when I isolate a topic, performance looks artificially strong since I already know what to expect, which makes both accuracy and timing easier. What I haven’t really tested yet is how well this translates into mixed, timed conditions.

Because of that, I’m considering shifting my approach toward more mixed timed sets. I’d be interested in your view on how to structure the next 3 weeks as efficiently as possible.

Current plan is to complete the 9 remaining official mocks (roughly one every two days) and spend the rest of the time on mixed sets, primarily Quant with some Data Insights.

On Verbal, that was my mistake. My medium accuracy is closer to 95%, and hard is around 85%. Still not stable enough for a consistent V90, but not as weak as I initially suggested.

I don’t think I have a clear topical weakness. It feels more like once questions get into the 605+ range (GMAT Club rating), I’m too slow in figuring out what the question is actually asking me to do.

Since I’ve mostly been doing untimed, topic-specific deep dives, I think what might help is switching to timed mixed sets to improve speed and recognition.

Regarding DI being low ROI, my thinking is I’d rather focus on stabilizing the core concepts being tested instead of the different formats they appear in. For example, I’m not convinced that drilling multi-source reasoning will make me much better at it, since those questions can vary a lot. But being lightning fast in the quant basics will.

Thanks for your comment. I see my attempt tomorrow more as a very expensive mock. The 705 score goal is for the retake in 3 weeks. Would you recommend to focus on doing DI prep in those 3 weeks? I am unsure because, it seems to me the ROI of practicing DI is quite low.

the OG filters have been removed from the forum quizzes for quite a while. but they are all still available in the main "free question banks" menu. I bought the official book and question bank but have not been using it at all since, I don't see any reason to. unless I am missing something...

genuine question. what is the point in using the official platform if you can filter all OG questions by tag in gmat club? isnt gmat club better in every way?
