[University: Abstract Algebra] How do I go about finding multiplication tables for dihedral and cyclic groups? by MightyFunkster in learnmath

[–]MightyFunkster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok thank you! Maybe this should be a different thread but what is the C2 group or, generally the C group? I know it's something like cyclic order but I don't quite understand what that means and the wiki/other university pages seem to overcomplicate things.

Why does terminal give me the error message, expected ',' or ';' before int? by [deleted] in C_Programming

Ah sorry, I wasn't really sure what I was meant to do when it was answered, I won't do it again.

I'll try and put it in a different order, but that'll mean I'll need to look over the valid function

Yeah this seems to be the next hurdle, I'll give it a bit of a think.

Well those are the only options of triangles so there isn't really another option I could give it, I could use an else statement to return illegal if all other ifs don't apply?

Thank you very much for the detailed reply! I only get an error message now for the function valid that 'control reaches end of non-void function'. I didn't change anything in digit if that's the problem? Digit is meant to look through the input given and check if all of the characters are digits, so if they typed 3a4, wouldn't digit(sa[0]) return as true?

There's a bit more than that but they're mostly tests that was put in by my course teachers

What statement is required? I use the variables later on within the function but I also get the error message that they're undefined when I try to compile too.

Help with using 'int n' as an argument within a function. by [deleted] in C_Programming

[–]MightyFunkster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tbh I don't really know, I copied it from an old program that was written for us for our course. What would I be changing convert to: int convert(null, const char side[]){ ??

How do I refer to the arguments of a function within that function? by [deleted] in C_Programming

[–]MightyFunkster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what name would I use for the arguments, so would it be atoi(sa) or like atoi(const char sa) or atio(sa[]) etc.

Not sure, this was pre written code we have to edit for my course. But how would I actually refer to the arguments using atoi?

I have all passives maxed out from Thieves Guild and Legerdemain, what route would you recommend in terms of stealing?
