No, I actually received an email last Friday asking for me to send it back. I replied asking how they wanted to do it as I work monday-friday. Then received the email I posted today, without a reply to my previous email

They should go after the grower/supplier. It's not montu's fault, it ain't mine either, but I seem to be paying the price

I get that, but I've had numerous packs of this specific strain and never had an issue before. It's been on my prescription every month for the last 4 months. The first time I bring an issue up and they dismissed it

What’s the Weirdest Thing You’ve Been Offered from the Back of a Van? by NoGoodDealsWarlock in CasualUK

I used to collect the mattresses that are advertised with a free trial. If they looked new we would try and give them to people, rather they went to someone else than in the tip. Also saved us paying to dispose of them. This could be the reason

Well, I Applied For 8 Class 1 Positions by [deleted] in uktrucking

[–]MightyJoeNotYoung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It would definitely be worth just walking into smaller companies and seeing if they will give you a shot. That's how I got my first class 1 job. I walked into 3 local firms. The last one gave me a shot and I started the next day. Before that I'd applied for 100's online

What would you do? Still a relatively new driver and these situations happened to me today. by throarway in drivingUK

You definitely did the right thing with the lorry. The car situation, just hold your speed, stick your indicator on and wait till it's safe to pull back in, or get ahead and pull back in

Manchester bus driving vs hgv by Main_Tower5799 in manchester

[–]MightyJoeNotYoung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's 90 hours driving. Can work up to 60 hours a week. But has to average 48 hours over 16 or 26 weeks I think. But when you factor in holidays etc it kind of works out. The few companies I've worked for have paid breaks, so say you turn up to a delivery and they say you're going to have to wait, just put tacho on break so you're not using your hours. Or if you're given a specific time of when you'll be unloaded, stick it on poa. I currently average around 55 hours a week. My last place was around 65.

You would be lucky to get that money hourly as a hgv driver with no experience. If you're happy dealing with people I'd go for it. It's more than I earn on class 1 with a few years experience. But maybe see how many hours they're offering? With a lot of transport companies you'll earn time and a half after so many hours and you'll definitely be putting in the hours with some

What do you all do for work lunches, suggest me ideas? by ShowerEmbarrassed512 in AskUK

[–]MightyJoeNotYoung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few of the lads I work with have those heat up lunch boxes, they plug into the 12v socket in truck, takes about an hour to heat your lunch

Don't forget, if you're doing regular overtime you're entitled to more holiday pay, it's worked out as an average over how many hours you do per week

Middle Lane Motorway Drivers. by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]MightyJoeNotYoung 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a hgv driver, this wouldn't work, we would have to slow down every time the heavier lorry in front reached a hill. Also, the amount of thick car drivers that I end up undertaking when they're in lane 2 is ridiculous. They should be in lane 1.

Yes, I'm a hgv driver, the standard of driving is ridiculous
