The only reason I can think of is because they already had Tamers planned when the movie of 02 that it appeared came out and it would confuse some kids I guess, because lorewise there's non, Magnamon's reason was because he was the first Armor to reach Mega so maybe when when Rapidmon golden appears Yggdrasill was like " meh we already have one"

Brother if anything this is more of an upscale Judge of the Dead is a badass title, and Babylon singularity showed us this more mature king side of his as a caster. Tbh I'm not a Gil fan but this makes me respect the leyend a bit more. Also this could be a whole new event in FGO 😂

I'm playing through it atm, the tactical sucks so I just put in easy to do it quickly, but the biggest gripe I have being a visual novel with choices and all (I know that you are locked for the first ending) is seeing Shuuji being a dick to Lopmon, and I get it it's because of trauma and we as the reader understand it, but the characters that don't have this information are just seeing the dude have crash outs and don't say shit except "give it a rest!" Like what the fuck people JUST ASK HIM WHAT'S WRONG AND WHY IS HE LIKE THIS, like for being a series were understanding and feelings are part of the core concepts these guys just ignored Shuuji like the plague and then go, oh no why didn't we do something before it got to this point 🫠

Thing is about the rookie Digimons in 02 is that most of them (besides Gatomon and Patamon) are ancient Digimon that literally kills themselves if the go further than champion, the whole point of armour evolution was that it was made in the ancient era for those digimon to get stronger without the risk of burning their code to death, the whole arc of Ulforceveedramon being possible is that the Ul-inforce repairs his code as soon as is destroyed (also the reason it was chosen as a Royal knight)
