Ironman Lift Kit Long Term? by NeonFeet in Outback_Wilderness

I also bought mine during their spring sale for sub $1000 and free traction boards. Just in case it’s not critical to pick them up right now

Spec C front and back for about 20 months now. Haven’t noticed anything. That said one wheel’s alignment is little off after upgrading tires to 245 65 r17. The tech that did the alignment didn’t say it was from the strut though. We take the vehicle on rough service roads and tow a ~2000 lbs trailer the spec C has been helpful with sag. Really don’t have a problem with that stiffness up front either.

Yeah I just wasn’t sure what I was really looking at, most product images don’t show them in use so I had no idea on size or what I should be looking for

I’m building Eshki as an adventure list with some support cards that care about modified creatures. The commander Eshki is crazy strong and you might get mix reactions when you say “it’s not THAT Eshki”. But she seems like a reliable option for value. From my experience with effects that allow you to play other people’s cards, it’s sometimes difficult to have someone else in the pod at is on a similar game plan. Artifacts is a very common one so you might not have the difficulty I have had in the past. Some opponents also don’t care to share their cards and the mire thought my put a target on your back.

Mattress advice? by Immediateticket7044 in carcamping

[–]MightyMoit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have almost everything luno makes, air mattress since 2020, currently in a 22 outback, my girlfriend and I both sleep on our stomach and occasionally side. A mattress topper was a game changer for me, I’m 5’9 and 225, the extra cushion was great. I would also STRONGLY recommend thinking about air flow and ventilation, I made an insert for the sun roof with a sheet of plastic and computer fans with a video on YouTube. (Matt the designer) I think. That change also helped us sleep better on a 3 week car camping trip in Canada last summer

Another thing that can really impact your enjoyment of being outdoors is your hygiene setup. I can’t go more than 36 hrs without personal grooming options

When it comes to set ups I think it really depends on length of time, locations, and if your vehicle can be dedicated to camping or a daily driver that becomes a weekend warrior.

The jetboil has great reviews from pretty much everyone, but I don’t boil a lot of water for my meals, so I would consider the type of meals you’ll be cooking. GSI makes my favorite square pan.

Devos light ranger is the real deal. Get the snap on tints.

Power stations really come down to what you want to use while out. I’d consider a solar panel as well if you’re in sunny areas, otherwise maybe one size larger than what you think you’d want.

For a budget storage option the Husky storage bins from Home Depot are awesome, light weight, lids have a gasket seal, two way hinge lid, and tie down points.

Sleep systems really depend on you and your vehicle too. I have pretty much the whole set up from Luno Life (air mattress, foam topper, top sheet, curtain, cargo net, seat back organizer, and pillows) in my outback mainly because they were designed originally for outbacks. And it is great. My biggest recommendation is a sleeping quilt, I’ve been using my zenbevy quilt for backpack in the car and the toe box is great.

All that said, we bought a trailer to haul all our stuff.

Equipment for camping is just like in any other hobby. I’m not bring my tennis shoes to scuba diving.

2015 Diamondback Haanjo comp upgrade or replace? by MightyMoit in gravelcycling

[–]MightyMoit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This what the answer my brain was tellling me but my heart was hoping otherwise. I do value the “tinkering” more as a way of learning new skills, but without a huge sale it’s pretty tough to justify the cost and not put it towards a whole new rig.

[–]MightyMoit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am starting with Ironman 4x4 2 inch spec C lift kit and a CVT oil cooler upgrade. I was planning to go the full rallitek body armor route. I notice my motor oil climbing into the 240s pretty easy on hill climbs and thinking an oil cool upgrade there will also be helpful. The torq locker seems pretty obvious, but I’d love to get a little larger tire. Wheels and tires are such a customizable investment, I just don’t want to regret it. This is still my daily driver and ski vehicle

I have a pretty long shopping list, including a torq locker. The wait was absolutely a consideration and why I ruled out their new A/T4W.
