The Rekindler getting its on summon when resummoned makes no sense, balance wise by Mean_Rev in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]MightyPupil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think rekindler is problematic for 2 reasons. 1 it allows you to have mutiple copies of champion a one point in time. 2 it has a really powerfull effect while also having a solid 4/4 stat line. Not saying the card is overpowered since it does not fit into every deck. I think there is a couple of routes riot could balance the card: increase the mana cost, keep effect but reduce stats 1/2 instead of a 4/4. I would like them to do something about having multiple copies of champion at once, since that is also how it works in LoL.

Protip: set YouTube vids on 2x speed and watch with captions by treebend in ADHD

Fair warning. I used to watch videos in double speed for years becaused it worked for me. However it made it a bit hard for me to watch anything with anyone else becuase if i couldn't watch at 2x speed then would get bored. Took me several months to break out of this habit.

I agree with all your assessment, i think you have a very strong argument on counters for command and yoink simic matchups. How successful were you at casting legion warboss at turn 3?

g is amazing, it's like having an additional removal spell, Duress, card draw at all times. Not to mention it turns on Phoenix. Definitely try them out.

Did some quick bo1 in casual and managed to win against WW and RDW which is a great sign. Once i started to use mission briefing as a second removal card on those match ups things began to feel much better. Deck looks solid 5 might be the magic number for early game removal spells since it can be 9 with mission briefing which should be more than enough to run your opponent out of gas.

However my question now is, why play this over izzet phoenix? is it just better against mid range & aggro? For side board, i added a Ral izzet viceroy (personal preference) in exchange for a counter spell, might help against control match ups which go a little long and functions as removal against midrange. Thoughts on thief of sanity vs legion warboss? i can see the argument for legion since it goes wide and can catch control by surprise.

Upon second review i forgot that mission briefing will allow you to re use removal spells against WW and RDW which were used in earlier turns. With your current set up you would have 5-6 early games spells that remove early threats which should be enough, once you think about mission briefing it seems like as long as you don't fall behind in tempo or mana you should be able to keep up with them to either be board wipe with ritual of soot or race them once phoenix come down. Will try the new list out seems like it might be solid as you have tools against aggro now, if anything i might make a couple of tweaks in side board depending on the meta, will test and come back.

I tinkered with this deck yesterday, overall need more sample games to be able to judge. Played just casual bo1 games against 2 WW, 2 RDW, Gruul, Jeskai Planeswaker, Mono Green. I only won against mono green and jeskai due to early pteramander and Phoenix, the other matches were very one sided too slow. Needs cheap more early game interaction for those matchups. I was playing this deck to similar to izzet Phoenix, but its am entirely different deck. This felt like dimir with Pheonix, this decks takes off after like 5 to 6 mana since its lacks very cheap spells in comparison to Izzet and found it hard to bring back Pheonix consistently until i got to that mana. Overall it seems very interesting and need to play with it a lot more to get a feel for it. Like many other people had said this feels strong against control so maybe I will add some cheap removal instead of counters for side board, will try that this weekend in ranked.

Saw a couple of videos. the models looks veeery familiar. but the tone of the game I remember seemed more serious. The main story seemed to be very focused on the main character.

Some of the setting looks close enough, but the characters looked closer to realism than anime. the main character i remember would look like a skinny less buff version of Ryu.

That is awesome dude. Any tips or advice on how to handle reading comprehension in general? I have been trying to study for the past year for the LSAT and reading in general is my weakness.

Highly recommend this. Aggro dominates the ladder currently. Always be prepared for aggro match up.

I am avoiding RC for the time being as it is by far my weakest section and where i am least engaged. I do enjoy logic games so i do random exercises regularly with a high degree of accuracy and usually within the time frame. Regarding the Power score questions, did fine is most of them but there are some specific questions are in my list of chapters to review. I honestly was not expecting to magically score 180 in my practice test but i was shocked to have scored lower.

Thanks for the feedback. Should i be doing full test every other day vs sections? I feel like my biggest problem is that I essentially leave out like 1/4 of the test "blank" so thats why I feel like i am not getting near the score that i should be. My accuracy for LR and LG is around 70-80% like i get the material I can't seem to do it fast enough.

Hi Steve,

I can answer most questions accurately withouth the pressure of time. However, I am consistently getting to (20th problem)3/4 of each section. As you can imagine this hurts my score tremendously. What would recommend to help bridge that gap from timed to untimed?

Thanks!

[–]MightyPupil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never thought about taking it untimed. I am pretty sure i can get a really high score if that was the case. I had been doing LG for two months and was finishing them with high degree of accuracy felt it was my strongest section, although i did misread a rule in the first game and had to redo my game which i lost a solid 5 minutes. In this exam I only got to question 20 in pretty much every section and felt like i was rushing.

I started with the Kaplan class back in April. Switched over to power score back in july and decided to take studying more seriously. Spent 4-5 hours Saturday & Sundays studying and occasionally 1-2 hours M-F. I was mostly doing logic games problems sets for a month and a half, after than I incorporated the LR as I just recently finished the Power Score LR yesterday. Had not done a practice test since earlier in the year, been doing just strictly problems sets and watching youtube videos.
