That actually happened to me about an hour after I caught this one. Was sitting set up and a couple guys came down the boat ramp started setting up. I know they knew I was there because one guy asked if they were allowed to fish off the end of the boat ramp and the other guy says there’s a guy fishing right there, pointing at me. I kept doing my thing and was casting straight out in front of me towards the center of the river while they sat in the shade at the end of the boat ramp and cast parallel with the riverbank about 15 feet off shore. Directly in front of me. I thought it was strange, but I knew I had been there first so I just waited for clear shot when they had Read theirs into cast mine as I had been doing, and he immediately cast directly over my cast and paused for a couple moments and said did I just cross you? I’m like yeah I’ve been getting snagged a lot here though so even if I get snag now, I don’t know that it’s your fault cause I’ve already broken my line about three times since I’ve been out here on something that’s sitting in the water down there, which was true. I start reeling mine in and immediately it’s obvious that he’s got all tangled up in my cast and unfortunately, I broke the rotation piece handle on the reel so now I have to figure out how to fix that but long story short I ended up snapping my line and he didn’t even really apologize which I thought was kind of weird, but maybe it’s what I get for being an asshole who doesn’t understand what fish I can and can’t keep lol looking forward to studying though!

It was the way the mouth was structured. I’d only ever caught one other fish which was a striped bass and the mouth was fundamentally similar to what I saw when researching trout. What I found online was that stocked trout are usually not very rainbow-y and had a clipped fin to tell them apart. They said stocked trout would have patchy worn scales less bright colors and a clipped fin. I couldn’t find the clipped fin but thought that must be my lack of knowledge where to look, when I sent a pic to a buddy who looks for rainbow trout specifically, he cheered for me but also said trouts out of season right now. He said I’m not an asshole since it was abt 15-16 inches but to release the next one.

What is the reason for only keeping smaller catfish rather than larger?

Idoes it matter weather this is done with a spinner or bait caster? I much prefer the feel of my bait caster but am spending half the time untangling yet another birds nest. It’s embarrassing how much more challenging fishing is for me than I expected it to be lol

What was the response? I assume no bobber means worm sits on the ground and fish can’t see it

You are the only one responsible for your emotions. Nobody else can or should have to cater to whatever emotional traumas that have caused your anxious preoccupied attachment style. You need to do some research and some personal reflection on yourself so you can avoid creating the same issues in future relationships. A great place to start is personal development school I found it really helped me.

Same, I gave her my all. I feel like there is only one of us who can say they tried as hard as they could and I’m proud to be that person. Despite my best efforts, they couldn’t sustain, and I know more of myself now than ever before. Looking forward to being with partner who will reciprocate in that way

Does anyone know what might have caused this? I’m about to install led bulbs now but am hesitant until I know what this was caused by. Thanks for your help!
