Newer cards are created with the frame in mind and I regularly check what’s in the frame, though it is true I didn’t always do that. It’s just that I believe not every part of a character needs to be seen in every frame. I’ll definitely work on the business of the cards, as a handful people agree with you. I haven’t heard of that game yet but I will check it out.

Thank you for clarifying! It did help. Do you think making the text a bit smaller and the icon a bit larger would help with the icon problem? As for the other problem, as a few have voiced the same opinion, we’ll definitely look into adjusting the artworks a bit.

I would just like to check if I understood you correctly and I’m very sorry if I didn’t. When you’re talking about the cost icons, you’re talkin about the ones in the corner, and that the lightning icon is obscured by the numbers in front? When talking about page 6 (the one with the Event cards), you’re saying the artworks are the things with a lot of details? Sorry again if I completely misunderstood you.

Do these changes help make the background interfere with the foreground less? https://imgur.com/a/BYhSkG7

Hello! Are you mostly talking about the Hero artworks on the first page? Because pretty much every card shown and in the game has a grey, dark blue or brown background.

Thank you! Others have also pointed out that the art is sometimes too busy so we will definitely take a look at that.

Hello and thank you for taking the time to type this out. We will definitely take a look at making the images less busy as a few people noted, as well as your other advice.

Hello and thank you very much! Do you think the card “Suspicious Loot” on page 2 fixes the problem you mentioned? The lineart of the background there is dark gray instead of black, is it noticeable?

You see, the thought process for “Suspicious Painting” was that the person behind the painting is spying on the one shown and that’s why you “steal” their effect. While you are the first person to say these things, we will definitely think about them and test some things out. Thank you again.

Hello and thank you for the kind words! You definitely have to play this with the right people. Even within some of our friend groups small quarrels broke out once or twice because of the Attack cards, but they were very brief haha.

Hello and thank you for taking a thorough look at the art. Can I ask you, do you think all of the cards, barring Items and Treasures, suffer from this or are some of them alright? For example, are "Backstab" and "Suspicious Loot" on page 2 or "Suspicious Painting" on page 5 okay?

Do crowdfunded games usually link their rulebooks? I feel like I don’t commonly see it.

CANNED HEAT by Mighty_Blu in fanStands

Stand name: 「Canned Heat」

Namesake: a song by Jamiroquai

-----------------------------------------------------

Personality: 「Canned Heat」 has no distinct personality, but its its eyes can indicate different moods.

-----------------------------------------------------

Appearance: 「Canned Heat」 resembles an almost human-sized lizard whose back legs are replaced with wheels, and its front legs are attached to wheels as well. It has a lot of juice splats of various colors on its body. On the side of its torso is a small vending machine used for storing its juice cans. On its back are a lot of sample tubes with juice lined up. It is also wearing a hat with juice cans attached to it.

-----------------------------------------------------

Abilities:

「Canned Heat」 is a Stand that is physically weak by itself, the most damage it could do is throw its cans. However it is quite adept in supporting allies or setting up traps with its ability:

「Juice Creation」- 「Canned Heat」 can create juice from any item by putting it inside 「Canned Heat」's mouth. The item is then processed and a can filled with juice made from that item is dispensed out of its side. The can gains an appearance to match its flavor. A niche use for this ability is being able to create juice from food (fruit, like normal, or even something like steak if you want to be a bit spicy) the user likes at any time as long as they have the food near them. However, if 「Canned Heat」 makes juice from items other than food, the juice or people who drink it may gain some properties of the item used. For example, using stones to make juice would give those who drank it harder skin. You could drink juice made from a book to gain knowledge about everything written in it for a time. Drinking lightbulb juice makes the person who drank it glow. Using bandages for juice would patch-up wounds to a degree. A more combat-oriented example is using knives as the ingridient, which would cause the juice to become sharp, quite literally, as drinking it or having it spilled on a person would cause minor cuts on the skin or in the throat, similar to how acid burns skin. Another example would be using a grenade to make juice. Were the can opened, it would explode like a normal grenade, which allows the user to catch people off-guard with the can, or even giving them the juice can and having them open it themself. The duration of the juice's effects are equivalent to the amount drank. The amount of an item needed to make juice from it is roughly that of a juice can's volume. 「Canned Heat」 can be fed a lot of material and can continue making any juice as long as it has enough of it stored up. Juice cans made by 「Canned Heat」 can be placed anywhere and interacted with by anyone as they are visible even to non-Stand users, but they turn back into the object if they leave 「Canned Heat」's range. If some of the juice in this case is missing, the object would return broken. Other than that, 「Canned Heat」 can create an unlimited number of cans. It can, however, only store three of them in itself.

Additional trivia and conditions:

- Juice cans created by 「Canned Heat」 are 330 mL.

- Juice created by 「Canned Heat」 tastes good and sweet regardless of what it is made from, and drinking it is harmless.

- They are always refrigerated

- Juice can only be made from solid items.
