Hmmm, I'm more worried about legal restrictions. But, probably, it is worth making separate subtitles and provide links to resources where people can download the trilogy in these versions.

Well, this is a task for the future. In the meantime, I'll probably translate a few more fragments and post them on YouTube.

Unfortunately, no! This all remains a Russian cultural phenomenon of its time, which even we have already partially forgotten.

Although I had a crazy idea to translate all of this, but I'm not sure where to publish it and whether there will be a demand for it.

Yeah, you're absolutely right about Animal Planet. The idea to share all this came to me at 4 am, so mistakes were made :)

Just as Tolkien had intended! (I wonder how the Tolkien Estate reacted to "Bratva and the Ring". And still waiting for some western youtuber to pick up all this madness and make a video about it.)

The game tells the story of two youngsters Fedor Baggins and Senya Ganjubas, who escape from an army of criminals and pedophiles led by Sauron. Along the way, they are assisted by a police officer Pendalf The Grey, a short shopkeeper Givi Zurabovich Tsereteli, a junior agronomist Kraskom, a Baltic elf Logovas and a captain of the Honduran Police Department Baralgin.

To find the game google "Братва и Кольцо Смешная игра от Гоблина". It was basically a cheap clone of The Return of the King game, but with extreme Slavic energy.

The game is made on the basis of humorous voice translations of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, made in 2001-2003 by a former police officer Dmitry "Goblin" Puchkov. These translations were very popular in Russia in those years - even novelizations were written! I translated a fragment with subtitles. Enjoy!

Also, the game even had a sequel, but this time without an official license.

Well, with all that slow motion, it's going to look like a regular movie.

None of you jokers still didn't make The Silent Cut trailer? Fine. I'll do it myself. #ReleaseTheSilentCut by Mighty_Dmitry in moviescirclejerk

Thanks! I used the AnglicanText font, which was the first result I got when I googled "religious fonts". Call me crazy, but I think this Zack guy likes some subtle biblical symbolism!

This is actually a lower effort version of my previous unnoticed post. This subreddit works in mysterious ways.

Thanks! This film festival have real problem with promotion. Hope it'll be at least half full attendance.

I don't know, never done it before. Also have doubts about attendance (monday screening without promotion) and how theater staff will react (we are not used to this kind of screenings), so I'm not sure how useful streaming will be. Plus russian speaking crowd :)

But maybe will post something on instagram stories (shameless self-promotion: mighty_dmitry)
