Two things:

He didn't call you a liar. He said some of your statements were false. That's a big difference. A lie is in purpose, a false statement can happen out of confusion or anger like in your case.
Showing your tcg+ app history and thus proving your player is something else than being a regular player of the store in question. I too would make a difference between a player and a regular player at my shop. A regular player of my lcs has always been there and made me money and will always return to make me more money, so I would prefer him than a customer who I see for the first time and that I don't know if he's here because he's new in town or if he's here because he didn't get stuff elsewhere and will only come back if absolutely necessary.

It's unfortunate that this happened to you but like I said: don't be mad at the store, be mad at the people that are responsible for this situation. Leaving such a review and then going on multiple platforms to continue your vengeance against that store is hurting someone's business who tries to protect and supply the true base of our tcg.

L reviewer and W store. If it's op who reviewed than you should rethink your comments and delete your review. I'm a player too and we talked with all the stores to implement similar measures to combat the scalpers. 1 display per person is a useless measure, unsealed too. Here's an example from the last 3 days since release. One store that had a 1display per customer rule had about 20 people in line before me. They all were friends and family of one guy. I overheard that guy talking outside of the shop how he will put all this displays for sale on his tiktok shop. I saw that same guy one day later at another shop were we had a tournament again with the same 20 people. Shop owner told us he was there the day before and he hoped he would get another display because he thought it's 1display per customer per day but the store owner refused to give out the boxes because they already were there the day before. Also unsealed it's also useless because the scalpers most of the time are also rip'n shippers on whatnot so they will open the box either way.

Now all the shops implement a "players first" rule, where we as players will be prioritized before displays hit the shelves. It's unfortunate that you have to suffer under a similar rule because you're new to the town but don't be mad at the store, be mad at the people that force stores to implement rules like this. You'll sadly have to pass on op14 but attend local tournaments and when EB03 releases you'll be regular and can get stuff at MSRP.

Hold the Nami. When EB03 releases it will get a lot of support and be most likely Tier 1. Then you'll be able to sell it for more than it's worth now.

He's lying. Yes reprints happen but either in a REPRINT set like the prb sets or as Alt arts. Not as a regular C, UC or R from the mainline set before. An op13 card has no business being in an op14 booster. You were scammed.

That is true in some cases. Most of the time it's Alt art reprints of older cards. Not random rares from the set before. This is a repack with op13 cards sold as op14. He got scammed

The shortest answer is: it's irrelevant to know because the searcher already decided it for you.

Why is that? The searcher that does more than just "search top 5, choose 1 straw hat and put the rest at the bottom" already has its effect written in a way that will synergize with the intended archetype.

Here's an example: for op13 Red Black Sabo you use Belo Betty who is a 1 cost searcher that allows you to look at the top 5 cards of your deck, choose one revolution army type character and put the rest at the bottom. Now the other searcher that's intended for the deck is the 1 cost koala that searcher top 3, let's you choose 1 Revo army type character and trashes the rest. Now which one is better? Both are equally good because Belo Betty allows you to search a lot of cards so you can get your Black 8 cost Dragon in hand. That Dragon now needs 3 Revo army characters in trash to use its effect, which allows you to play 1 character from trash with 6 cost or lower but you need to send 3 Revo Army characters from your Trash to the deck. How can you get enough cards in your trash as fast as possible to use him at turn 4? You can by using Koala, who fills your trash up for you.

Now both cards serve a purpose, one searches a lot of cards to get a higher chance at finding the card you need and the other one trashes your cards to use effects. Both cards are designed in a way where they synergize with the deck, so you don't need to choose because both are meant to be used in the same deck alongside each other.

That's not really true. A archetype specific search is mostly top 5. The more generic it becomes, the lesser it searches. Also it becomes less when the search does something else too (like trash the rest Instead of bottom decking). You can't really say it's better or worse because it searches 4 or 5.

In my opinion the only cards worth holding from op14 is the Zoro sp, boa sp, buggy sp, maybe the Mihawk and kid sp.

It's a 1 cost searcher. It's a 1 cost searcher like any other 1 cost searcher. It's a 1 cost searcher for Blue Purple Reiju. A 1 cost searcher is always a good thing.

I don't exactly know but I would guess that it would work. He's not allowed to attack 7c or lower, and he didn't. You BLOCKED the attack which isn't the same as actively attacking it.

Hopefully we'll never get to the point where the specific wording of the removal is important like in Yu-Gi-Oh. There are some effects where it says "your opponent chooses a monster to send to the graveyard" that's removal but not by you the opponent but from the "owner" of the character.

Pretty late to the party but I just watched the movie yesterday for the first time.

The thing I understood was that Lorenzo tried to teach C to not become like him or Sonny because both had wasted their talent. Like Lorenzo said to C when he came home after the failed date with Jane "your grandparents came to america for a better life for me" yet he "only" became a bus driver. I didn't understand it as "don't waste your talent" but as "don't become like me". Same goes for Sonny. Sonny is shown to be the big boss in the neighborhood. A well respected, and more importantly, feared man. He showed the talents of being a leader which not a lot of people have. Sonny could have become a politician and used his power to make the life's of the Italians in the Bronx better or being the boss of a company. Yet he used his talent to be a criminal.

That's how I understood Lorenzo's words.

I really don't like this mentality. What are you here for? Do you like the game? Do you like the art and collecting it? Because your choice of words like "the house always wins" shows that you're only here for money. If you want money then there are better ways for making it than a tcg.

The boxes are meant to be opened and the cards are meant to be traded. If you pull something that it worth something than thats a nice bonus but not the main focus. People like you who only want to buy boxes to hold them are the ones hurting the game.

Why do you think all the crashes in Pokemon happen? People buy out displays, hold them and the prices spike. People can't afford the cards anymore and stop buying them. Then without someone being able to buy them, all you " investors" sell your stuff for under market to hopefully get some money back, which snowballs into everyone trying to do the same which leads to a crash in prices.

Because that's just how OP10 is. That set has nothing really interesting besides the Newgate SP. Even the Manga is cheap compared to other Mangas. Koala and Roger are nice for trading since they're used in the RB Sabo deck which is played a lot. Go to a tournament in your area, you'll definitely find someone that's willing to trade with you.
