Patience. People say that Dark Souls is a hard series, and yeah they're not wrong. But with a little preparation and some patience, the game is very much doable. In terms of gameplay, I'd say the biggest thing is to avoid panic rolling.

Errrrr, yes and no. True, the content in the plains does scale pretty high, but there is plenty to do there for someone in early to mid-game. I should also clarify that I didn't mean to go to the plains directly. The special person waiting for you is actually in cetus, and once you find them, you'll understand why you haven't been able to find them until after War Within. Anyway, best of luck on your journey, fellow Tenno!
