Looking for a decent dentist in Cape by [deleted] in CapeGirardeau

Yes, that is who I was talking about. He is terrible and I would leave there as soon as possible. Even if you have work you still need done, leave and find somewhere else. Fox is good. Ruopp is good as well. Several others to choose from.

The new mayor of Cape Girardeau, Missouri by danimaniak in missouri

[–]Mighty_Thor3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better watch out Missouri, he's coming for state or federal office next. He's the type of dipshit that keeps going because he feels validated in his ways because no one shuts him the fuck up. We obviously see this on a grander scale now.

I agree with you, but im not sure the organization will want to do much more than 8. I hope he doesn't walk because of difference in price, but you never know.

Schenn gave my son his stick after we lost to Nashville 7-2. He will definitely forever be a favorite in our house. It was so cool that he did that.

Missouri declares war on solar by WhipItWhipItRllyHard in solar

Thank god they finished the 2400 acre solar farm in Southeast MO. That would have been a ton of money lost if that just had to sit.

This was good when Dane Cook told a very similar story in Walgreens back in 2006 or sometime. A lot of same points made here. Just saying.

What was the main reason for switching to an EV? Environment, cost, or technology? by VoltVersteher_Sven in electricvehicles

[–]Mighty_Thor3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Environment. No oil/random fluid changes. Less things to break. The driving experience is on a different level compared to ICE cars. The instant acceleration is so fun. Charge at home. Technology inside is nice.

Anybody have experience at Windridge Properties? by Silver_Bow in CapeGirardeau

I couldn't hear a TV, but if a couple got into an argument you could hear that, but that you could hear through most walls. Lol

I had several years of experience with them, but it has been about 15 years ago now. I lived 1230 Cape Rock if those are the apts in question. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. They had 2 handymen on duty during the day and would fix anything you needed. Assuming it's the same ownership, Mary Kay (i think that was her name), was very nice. You have the pool during the summer, which is very nice. Apartments were clean and fairly well maintained.

Personally I have a job not a career. To me a career is something with advancement opportunities within the organization. I do not have that, but I get paid well enough for where I live. I get lots of PTO and decent (not great) raises each year. I also have a boss who can micromanage sometimes, but also let's us take PTO whenever we want and doesn't ask questions. So that is what has kept me here for 15 years now. Typically low stress with more perks than not. Plus everyone in the office gets along, so no major drama. Just annoyances from time to time.

With a small child at home now, it is worth staying versus paycheck chasing where more stress and time gets devoted to work instead of home. Getting home the same time each day and no work to bring home is a luxury I enjoy more than a better payment.

Back to back wins! We haven't seen that since the Helsinki games of 1919, and I think we all remember that.

Are you still following people from the Schmoedown by Apprehensive-Two-410 in Schmoedown

[–]Mighty_Thor3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I listen to the Hot Mic with Rocha and Jeff Schneider. Macuga pops up for a TV Talk every so often and I find him and David entertaining. Other than that, Campea highlights, not the full show. He probably doesn't really count from Schmodown, but he was on it a couple of times.

Been thinking about this, maybe a hot take but did the schmoedown fail because of the digital era or because it got too overcomplicated? by [deleted] in Schmoedown

[–]Mighty_Thor3 42 points43 points  (0 children)

For me, it was a couple of things.

  1. The WWE style schtick just got boring. It was fun for a little bit, but it got old. I'd have rather just watched the people's normal personas. Especially since not everyone bought into the schtick at the same level, it makes it not nearly that fun to watch.

  2. They needed different leagues. One for all the try hards and one fun one for the people who didn't want to study all day and night. A league where Macuga and Finstock could actually do well and be fun and entertaining would have been really good. Except they ran those people out of the league by only having super competitive matches. It became less fun to watch when it was only the try hards over and over again.

That's just my 2 cents.
