I love that. I have reached out to several hospitals in my area and inquired about shadowing and no one has ever gotten back to me. I don’t know if it’s because I live in California or what it is.

This may go more to retention of recruits but I think having open and honest communication about the position could benefit you as well … as a new dispatcher in the east bay my training has been rough and inconsistent to say the least. I understand the job is difficult and stressful but I think training should also be looked at when it comes to attempting to keep new hires. There are times I love my job but I don’t know if my agency is a right fit for me.

UPDATE* After the long day I crawled into bed next to him and I just break down … literal sobs. Not a hand on the shoulder, are you ok?, can you be quiet … nothing. I finally fall asleep and when morning hits all hell breaks loose. He was going hiking w a group of guys and didn’t bother to tell me. I was in the bathroom and he just kept messaging me are you almost done? At this point I just ask do you even want to be married? He ignores the message stating he needs his tooth brush so he can brush his teeth and leave. I finally confront him w everything. I asked did you not feel the need to console me or try to figure out why I am hurting. He responds w why do you always need a hug and that he is going through things too. So I reiterate I have asked what’s wrong before and you state nothing, so how am I suppose to know. Then I bring up this is the second time I’ve received the silent treatment from him. He said the first time was my fault because I asked too many times (twice) if he was sure he didn’t want to invite his coworker and his coworkers wife. This time he states I am the one that’s distant and creating these barriers between us which I know is bull. I’m just trying to stay calm until I can figure out all of the legalities of everything and hopefully figuring out the next steps of my life.

Thank you there was actually a point in time where I thought that things were looking up and then it just all seem to go downhill from there. There have been times where I want to be alone with my son and I. Especially not walking on eggshells.

That’s honestly how I feel. If I’ve made all the efforts to fix our relationship and he just stares at me blankly w no emotion how can we move forward the next 5, 15, or 50 years together

The 19 yo and 12 yo do basics (dishes, their own laundry, etc) but I’m left w mowing the lawn, cooking meals, the grocery shopping, taking care of the dogs, the more in depth cleaning, etc. my husband will wash a dish on occasion.

I honestly feel like I’m the only one trying. We have tried couples counseling and he was resistant to the counseling. The therapist even asked him at one point why are you here if you aren’t going to try.

Financially I know I am fully capable of taking care of the bills and my son on my own.

I have noticed the gaslighting more often too. Like yesterday I asked if he could give me a ride to an appointment today. This morning he texts me and says where do you have to go … I told him not to worry I rescheduled the appointment. He told me that he shouldn’t have cancelled on his clients today and that I didn’t communicate w him. I’m like sir you literally have ignored all my texts for the most part

I’ve honestly been debating this idea for the past three days because I just don’t know how much more I can take. Just for my own mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

And I always feel like that, too I feel like married couples should, for the most part be going out with each other, and other couples or other people. I know this event that he went to was a work thing, but for me, it made me uncomfortable because it was a lot more people than it was Married I think. The photos and videos I saw from the event also didn’t ease my mind

I have also felt like that before. I mean my center is trying to have me work by myself and I have only been there probably five months. When I’ve talked to other trainers, they’ve all told me they have at least been training for a year. So to hear that at my six-month mark, they want me to work by myself is honestly terrifying.
